Ricey Posted 4 February 2006 Posted 4 February 2006 Ince and Cottee having a chat Weso Stearman Spot the ball Almost... Joey Celebrating. Sorry about the blurriness on some pics, I had my camera set to 'Landscape' setting for pic of the stadium and I couldn't be arsed to change it for the player ones.
davieG Posted 4 February 2006 Posted 4 February 2006 Taking photo's of the match that's nearly as bad as standing and very nearly a hanging offence.
Ricey Posted 4 February 2006 Author Posted 4 February 2006 Taking photo's of the match that's nearly as bad as standing and very nearly a hanging offence. I got some funny looks of stewards but they couldn't be arsed to say owt to me.
Tommy Posted 4 February 2006 Posted 4 February 2006 Check out Darren Anderton's mullet!!! Quiffs are the new mulletts.
The People's Hero Posted 4 February 2006 Posted 4 February 2006 Quiffs are the new mulletts. Nowt wrong with sporting a quiff, you big meanie.
cisono Posted 4 February 2006 Posted 4 February 2006 Taking photo's of the match that's nearly as bad as standing and very nearly a hanging offence. Why is that? PS: It seems that standing is an offence for players too (see below)
davieG Posted 4 February 2006 Posted 4 February 2006 Why is that? PS: It seems that standing is an offence for players too (see below) sSmething to do with copywrite, I think - there are signs around the place say no cameras or photo's etc. They have been know to confiscate them. It's like being at school going to the footy these days.

No problem with standing though. My mates and me have moved just next to L1 recently and stand throughout the match, just the four of us. The steward to the left of us hasn't told us to sit down once. Probably because there's no-one behind us.

It's not that they don't want peopel to stand it's that they're are not allowed due to safety regulations.
LCFC UK Posted 4 February 2006 Posted 4 February 2006 It's not that they don't want peopel to stand it's that they're are not allowed due to safety regulations. Yeah which is absolutley pathetic
Cobbo Posted 4 February 2006 Posted 4 February 2006 I'm well proud that I've actually spotted the ball Cracking pictures buddy.
Bert Posted 4 February 2006 Posted 4 February 2006 Yeah which is absolutley pathetic What it's pathetic that laws have been put in for your safety?? Have you never heard or seen of the Hillsborough disaster??
Jonbluefox9 Posted 5 February 2006 Posted 5 February 2006 It's not that they don't want peopel to stand it's that they're are not allowed due to safety regulations. So why hasn't he told any of us to sit down during the last two league matches when it has been quite clear that we've been standing all game? It's not as if there's a group of 50 of us that he'd have to try and get to sit down. Why aren't these safety regulations being put in place? Because he can't be bothered. It's easier for him to let us stand and enjoy the match than come over and say something to us. Long may it continue.
LCFC UK Posted 5 February 2006 Posted 5 February 2006 What it's pathetic that laws have been put in for your safety?? Have you never heard or seen of the Hillsborough disaster?? Because as i said its pathetic, All seating has ruined atmosphere all round the country. All this health and safety bull shit is a joke. My safety is in my own hands upon the actions i decide to take, i.e going to a football game. I could get run over by a bus on the way to the game, i could get knifed by someone. I take it your a do gooder who sits in the family end sipping on your half time flask of bovril. Bring back the terraces!
filbertway Posted 5 February 2006 Posted 5 February 2006 What it's pathetic that laws have been put in for your safety?? Have you never heard or seen of the Hillsborough disaster?? That was down to bad organisation and policing though. Last season there were 1000 coalville fans standing up for 90m inutes throughout the game at wycome, nobody was hurt, it just created a brillaint atmosphere

LCFC UK Posted 5 February 2006 Posted 5 February 2006 The bold bit I agree with, then you blow it with the underlined bit. Fair comment, i may have gone to far with that statement. To comare standing up and creating a brilliant atmosphere (electric back in the terrace days) not only gives you a buzz through out the game but reflects on the players and compare it to now, well enough said. And to compare standing up to such a tradegy as the hillsborough disaster is just damn to far fectched.
Jonbluefox9 Posted 5 February 2006 Posted 5 February 2006 The bold bit I agree with, then you blow it with the underlined bit. I agree. My dad, brother and me sat in the family stand for the first three seasons at Filbert Way because we had been used to sitting next to the away fans at Filbert Street. My dad and brother have stayed there because they've grown fond of their seats (although there are plenty of spare ones around them theses days) but I have decided to try different areas this season. They're not do gooders just not willing to change their seats. Well, they'll have prime seats if the Kop gets swapped with the family stand!

Standing up throughout the match makes you want to sing more and creates a much better atmosphere.

Im not condeming the whole family stand as do gooders who sip bovril , my statement as i just said was probably out of order, but was aimed at one person which was a reaction from HIS/HER comment.
