Strokes Posted 21 February 2006 Posted 21 February 2006 I think they should try and get Jay McEevely (spelling) or Gresko from Blackburn to cover the left back position. That would then allow Nissa to play at centre half if needed with suspension and possible injury problems in the next 2 games. Wasn't that McEvley (spelling ) on loan or originally from ipswich for a while, if it is who i am thinking i was very impressed

He's a no nonsence defender who makes some bone crunching challenges, ask Cisse (i'm sure it was Jay who's challenge caused that awful injury)!!!! He's still quite young but he has enough experience to help out at Leicester, Kelly will know him well aswell.

How very true But not i am not too sure whether Blackburn would allow him too leave, he seems (from what i remember) to be right up Mark Hughes street. Rick was he left back or centre half i seem to think he was a left back but on a search i did it says he is a centre?

Hughes has plenty of defensive cover and has just bought a Swedish defender aswell last month. Matteo wasn't allowed to leave on loan but that's because he does play for them abit but Jay hardly ever get's a chance and hasn't played for them this season I don't think. It would only be for a month aswell.

But i still think if you get someone in loan, it should be in view of a permant deal, do you think he would be ok for this or are confident in sheehan and think we should be looking for back up for him (next season ofcourse)?

I still would like to see Sheehan given a run in the team so I don't think we need a new left back long term but definately short term.

Bert Posted 21 February 2006 Author Posted 21 February 2006 If i remember correctly McEevely has damaged cruciate knee ligaments.

Ric Flair Posted 21 February 2006 Posted 21 February 2006 If i remember correctly McEevely has damaged cruciate knee ligaments. Oh bollocks, he's not back until the end of March. What about James Collins from West Ham?
Manwell Pablo Posted 21 February 2006 Posted 21 February 2006 Everyone seems to have Cruciate damage <_<
Manwell Pablo Posted 21 February 2006 Posted 21 February 2006 we could ask Arsenal for Djourou, or even Eboue at a push bit optomstic, and they are a bit young but if its got to be a loan signing thats what your gonna have to look at......
Head Honcho Posted 21 February 2006 Posted 21 February 2006 Paddy G is a ready made replacement, but I'd get someone in ready for the amount of suspensions we are going to encounter in the next 5 or 6 games!

Ikon_Klow Posted 21 February 2006 Posted 21 February 2006 I have snapped my ACL twice now! First my original ACL and then my graft. Christ it hurt like hell both times. Going to have it done a third time soon (last chance). Three years out in total. I don't believe that any footballer ever really recovers properly.
Ric Flair Posted 22 February 2006 Posted 22 February 2006 James McEveley? I already mentioned him yesterday, but he's injured for quite a while.
