Sly Posted 23 February 2006 Author Posted 23 February 2006 What did Kamaark really ever do though? I've noticed he's probably one of the most common picks in the team, yet he was often injured. Granted he was a great defender, but more a cult hero because he didn't look at the ball but the players eyes instead. He also mark Juninho out of a cup final. Looking back though, Juninho wasn't really that good. Can you imagine Kaamark trying to mark Lampard or Gerrard out of a game today!!
Sly Posted 23 February 2006 Author Posted 23 February 2006 B*llocks, forgot Garry Parker: Flowers Walsh © Elliott Taggart Savage Guppy Lennon Izzett Parker Collymore Claridge So did most people by the looks of it. Gary Parker was a great passer of the ball. Not a Leicester legend, but a good asset at the time.

Can you imagine Kaamark trying to mark Lampard or Gerrard out of a game today!! At the time Juninho was one of the best players in the premiership if not the world so it was a decent achievement but it surprises me that he's in alot of people's XI, especially when time clouds your memories and you forget certain players and I thought he'd be one of them.

Sly Posted 23 February 2006 Author Posted 23 February 2006 Best passer i've ever seen at Leicester, I forgot about him. Shocking. Just shows though doesn't it. Time makes us forget. I reckon young Weso is a good passer of the ball. Beckham wasn't bad when he played at Filbert Street either I always remember Beckham giving his boots to that young lad after the game that he's struck with the ball in the prematch warm up.

I didn't forget him but when you've been going as long as I have it's much harder to fit players in. Maybe we should have a top ten midfielders.

Collymore only made 12 appearances for the club yet has made it into a lot of people's sides. At least Pontus played over 70 times!
Collymore Posted 23 February 2006 Posted 23 February 2006 (From who I've seen) ...................Flowers Grayson... Elliott ...Walsh ..Thatcher .............Lennon ......Izzett ..................Collymore ...........Cottee..... Claridge. Subs Walker Tags Davidson Parker Rag Head. I've gone for quite an attacking line up. That defence with Lennon in front could play Barcelona everyday for 100 years and wouldn't concede. You've then got Izzett creating from the middle of the park with Claridge and TC mopping up any rebounds from Collymore.
Ric Flair Posted 23 February 2006 Posted 23 February 2006 Collymore only made 12 appearances for the club yet has made it into a lot of people's sides. At least Pontus played over 70 times! True! But Collymore is the most natural footballer ever to grace the Leicester shirt.
Collymore Posted 23 February 2006 Posted 23 February 2006 True! But Collymore is the most natural footballer ever to grace the Leicester shirt. Would it be out of place to say England shirt as well?
Ric Flair Posted 23 February 2006 Posted 23 February 2006 Would it be out of place to say England shirt as well? I think he's more suited in a Brazil shirt. England wasted the opportunity they had with Collymore. 3 measly caps, an embarassment the the rest of the world of football.

When you read this ...It show how much ability he had .. 50 goals in 71 games FFS! I'm gonna print it off and show my grandchildren for future reference. Highs included scoring at a ratio of a goal every other game and creating many goals in a superb partnership with Robbie Fowler, who were regarded as the best strike partnership in Europe Imagine if we had got Fowler earlier this year and Colly decided to come back for a swansong relegation battle.

Collymore is the British Fidel Castro.
davieG Posted 23 February 2006 Posted 23 February 2006 No more crappy teams please, it's an insult to the legends of Leicester City.
The Don Posted 23 February 2006 Posted 23 February 2006 Kalac - play off final Coatsworth - no explanation Platneur - just completely rubbish James - saviour Hill - man u Ormandroyd - tallest left winger ever corica - was class BLake - record signing and I thought we got the other one Philpott - never moved off the touchline Davidson - class finisher Gee - derby Not a crappy team at all, every single player in that team has a special place in my heart!! Its more of a cult heroes XI
Sly Posted 23 February 2006 Author Posted 23 February 2006 I didn't know that Collymore was in Basic Insticts 2, more to the point I didn't know Basic Insticts 2 had been made!!!

Even today he is one of my favorite city players ever.
martyn Posted 23 February 2006 Posted 23 February 2006 Surprised so many people are going for Larry, he had 1 great season but was otherwise very average. Of the players I've seen -------------------------Flowers------------------------- -Kaamark------------Elliott-----------Walsh---------Ullathorne------- -Joachim-------------Lennon--------Izzet------(ooh) Tommy Wright- ------------------Heskey-------Cottee----------------- I always feel compelled to pick Mark Draper in these teams, as he was head and shoulders above most of our side when he was at LCFC. And yeah Kammark gets picked on the basis that we've had no realy outstanding right backs since I started watching, was a coin flip with Gary Mills.
