I'm thinking about putting some bets on for the World Cup, but i don't know the first thing about betting, anyone want to suggest some bets for me?

Only willing to put a £5 on

Simple questions then.

Would you rather bet on the World Cup as a whole (ie winner/finalists) etc or on singular games?

I'd suggest a bet on winner or golden boot winner.

Ita + Cze

Bra+ Cro

Fra + Swi

Spn + Ukr

Win first games

£1 on

Germany, England, Argentina, Mexico, Italy, France and Brazil to win their 1st games.

All teams not to qualify:

£1 on

Angola

Costa rica

Ghana

Saudi

togo

Trinidad

But don't know where to go to put them on (bookies wise) as i haven't a clue about the odds and which bookies will be offering the best odds, etc?

yeah major disapointment :(

At odds of 2/1 wasn't really worth putting it on a E/W either was it!?

I was very tempted to put £5 on it after reading on here/searching on internet so glad I didn't now! lol

No it certainly wasn't worth an e/w bet. I wasn't on e/w though. Having said that, if I was on e/w at least I'd have some return.

I'll stop rambling now.

i didnt back it each way either , i never back each way unless 6/1 upwards

Backed it this morning £50 at 2/1

Off to Italy in the morning so just credited my account with £100 to do my world cup bets until I get back.

Yesterday I backed all 8 group favourites £10 @ 36/1 not bad if you ask me.

Had a pound on all the first and second favourites straight forecast @ over 1000/1
