Anyone got any World Cup advice?

Things that tempt me;

England Outright winner - 6/1

Top Scorer & Winner

Ronaldo/Brazil - 16/1

Adriano/Brazil - 20/1

Owen/England - 40/1

Rooney/England - 55/1

Gerrard/England - 100/1

Rooney's First game - Paraguay - 40/1 (Would this be as sub or would it mean to start a game? I would have thought to start but if its as sub 40/1 = Awesome odds)

I've just opened a William Hill account and just placed the following bets

£1 on England to win the World Cup at 6/1

£1 on Schwarzer for Yashin Award For Best Goalkeeper at 66/1

First bets i have ever placed.

England are poor odds, generally. But it's not on betting against them.

Instead I've got a patent bet running with

Costa Rica qualify

South Korea qualify

Croatia last 16

FUC KING GET IN!!!

We're quids in mate! :P

Brilliant son!!!!! That's the first win i've had in about 2 months so i'm well happy. Did about fifty of my winnings in last night though, getting my body ready for a month of pure devastation.

If you have any inspirational bets to share with me, let me know brother.

I hadn't looked at best goalkeeper before. Some quite interesting bets there. I imagine, based on past handouts, you're looking for a combination of fewest goals conceded in the qualifying group and progress to at least quarter-finals. Swarzer is up against Brazil in the group stages and that probably accounts for his long odds. I'm tempted by a punt on on Casillas at 9-1, given Spain's opponents up to the quarters.

The bet to piss your money away on - David James at 66-1. :D

I've got:

Argentina to win at 9-1.

Argentina and Ivory Coast to qualify from their group at 6-1 (I think).

and a treble today on Korea, France and Brazil that Togo are currently bollocksing for me.

After yesterday, I might think about an each-wayer on the Czechs. They looked reet good.

£6 on Germany v Poland draw.

Well done coontbags, really pleased with that 92nd minute goal by the salmons.

60 seconds, surely if you've defended superbly for 92 minutes another 60 seconds isn't too much to ask.

I've been well and truelly merked!

I had Ballack to score any time but I thought he played a lot deeper than usual. Steering clear of the England game today, not much value to be had there and it already means enough to me without having to bet on it to make it more exciting.
