Leicester_Mad Posted 21 April 2006 Posted 21 April 2006 How certain is this? Since being in Manchester at Uni, I have adopted County for a bit of Saturday afternoon football. I miss going to football so much you see. County have got a Leicester, Watford, Blackburn, Leeds, Sheff U and Arsenal fan checking their scores everyweek. Ha. well its not been confirmed, but its on a Stockport County messageboard that they are playing us up there. Im the same, helps having a mate who works in the ticket office and gets you in for £6 you going to the Stockport vs Carlisle match? Should be a cracker, Stockport fighting to stay up, Carlisle trying to win the league...
Guest Gist Posted 21 April 2006 Posted 21 April 2006 Can't wait if it's PSV hopefully we will attract another staggering 12,000 fans
Jonbluefox9 Posted 21 April 2006 Posted 21 April 2006 I mentioned the possibility of a PSV match a few weeks ago here but haven't heard anything about it since in terms of confirmation. Maybe after the Plymouth match things might become a bit more concrete?!
Jay Posted 21 April 2006 Posted 21 April 2006 Can't wait if it's PSV hopefully we will attract another staggering 12,000 fans well if they charge £15-20 a ticket they will be lucky to get that imo!! hardly a mouth watering prospect to honest!! although at £5.00 a ticket they may well sell out, what have the club got to lose? although I am sure the club will go for the £15.00 option instead

I may make it down. Haven't been down to edgerly in a couple of months. Guessing it will be good to see Michael Bridges playing too. I thought county were fine a few weeks ago, look like they have been dragged back into it. x

Newcastle_Fox Posted 21 April 2006 Posted 21 April 2006 I bet we will play Hinckley at some stage in the pre season at their new ground , being as we play all of our reserve matches there.
Jonbluefox9 Posted 21 April 2006 Posted 21 April 2006 I bet we will play Hinckley at some stage in the pre season at their new ground , being as we play all of our reserve matches there. We played our last few reserve matches at the Marston's Stadium last season but didn't have a friendly against them in pre-season but you never know.
CosbehFox Posted 22 April 2006 Posted 22 April 2006 I say we play AZ, a quick return for joey. That would be great, AZ or PSV please.
The People's Hero Posted 22 April 2006 Posted 22 April 2006 I've got it on good authority that we're playing Racing Santander at the Walkers.

davieG Posted 25 April 2006 Posted 25 April 2006 From Lincoln OS could this be part of a deal to get McCaulley (sp) I know he's on a free but it might be some jam to seal the deal.
Pre-Season Friendly - LCFC v LCFC!
Championship outfit Leicester City have confirmed they will be visiting Sincil Bank Stadium for a friendly match ahead of the start of the 2006/07 season. The game against the Foxes will take place at Sincil Bank on Monday 24 July 2006 with a 7.45pm kick-off. Ticket prices will be announced closer to the date of the game. In addition to Leicester, the Imps have also pencilled in a friendly against Nottingham Forest for Wednesday 26 July 2006 (ko 7.45pm) although this fixture will only take place should the Imps and Forest be in different divisions next season. Finally, FA Cup Finalists Liverpool are contractually bound to play City in a match which was arranged as part of the deal which saw Jack Hobbs move to the Anfield club. We are, however, still awaiting finalisation from Liverpool with regards to a date for this prestigious fixture. It all amounts to what promises to be an attractive pre-season home schedule for the Club with the annual Community Open Day on Sunday 23 July kicking things off.
Katy Posted 25 April 2006 Posted 25 April 2006 Bullshit, but yes there is trams in Nottingham and nice girls much better than the females in Leicester Cheeky gobshite Some Lincs teams would do for me too
dandannieldanok Posted 25 April 2006 Posted 25 April 2006 I hope we play PSV like some of you are saying cos their defence is shite, De Vries has recently knocked 1 past them!
City Fan Posted 25 April 2006 Posted 25 April 2006 I bet we will play Hinckley at some stage in the pre season at their new ground , being as we play all of our reserve matches there. Yup you are right, we will have a friendly against Hinckley at the Marstons in the summer.
Jonbluefox9 Posted 25 April 2006 Posted 25 April 2006 PSV on the 28th of July (provisionally) according to some people who work at Filbert Way on matchdays. Pretty reliable, told us about the England game at our place a good few weeks before it was announced a couple of seasons ago amongst other things.
Louise Posted 26 April 2006 Posted 26 April 2006 Pre-Season Taking ShapeLeicester City today confirmed three summer fixtures as they begin to put together their 2006-07 pre-season campaign. The Foxes revealed that they will face Boston United, Stockport County and Hinckley United as part of their preparations for next season - with other games to be announced in the coming weeks. Leicester travel to York Street (pictured) to take on Steve Evans' men on Wednesday, July 12.
