billabob Posted 23 May 2006 Posted 23 May 2006 OK so i'm not strickly a "new member" but to be fair i havent posted much so just throught i'd let you all know a little bit about me! Firtsly i love this forum! im a fan of the city due to my family living there and i myself never did live there as my parents moved away before i was born but still consider to be a city man through and through. i even still talk like a city boy, with the old ba-th and gr-ass not barth and parth and its said down here! secondly, i love how this forum seems like a giant family, everyone knows everyone and theres no slagging each other off like there was at the last one i was part off which i had to leave as it was well, poor to say the least, with no other city fans. Anyways a little about myself! my name is billy, supported the foxes for about 8 years now. im 18 woooop!, have a be-utiful girlfriend and my main passion is football followed by formula one. im currently takeing my second year a levels and then on to find a better job! yea thats about it really, a bit boring i know but now i feel iv introduced myself and hopefully won't feel like such an outsider anymore!

Rincewind Posted 24 May 2006 Posted 24 May 2006 I do not distinguish between forums. I go on them to read about City and chat to other like-minded people about almost any subject. I can understand rivalry between fans of other clubs but in-fighting and slagging off fellow supporters over a football forum? Come on, surely it is better to have MORE sites than the others to demonstrate how low loyal we are. Do we really want to be a club that only has one message forum dedicated to them with half a dozen posts a week? The reason why there has been no slagging off is because the forum is controlled. If like on another site -and we all know which one - a person came on with the intention of causing trouble and personally abusing one or two individuals their post would be removed by the moderators and they would receive a warning or if a persistent offender even banned.. There are very few sites that do not have guidelines and even those that don't there is no reason why posters should follow a few general rules when posting. If you are a moron when posting a message then it is likely you are a moron in life
