I assume having had received an email main saying thanks for joining foxestalk that we have to wait for the league to be updated. If not could someone let us know the secret.

Ultra Posted 27 June 2006 Posted 27 June 2006 Despite the slating I gave England on here after the win on Sunday, I've actually tipped them to BEAT Portugal. The reassons for this are: 1) Rooney will be fired up by the opposition and will score at least once. 2) The midfield will give him more support than they did against Ecuador. 3) Portugal are depleted through suspensions, and will be nervous about facing us. 4) Urs Meier isn't around to save them this time!

He kicked Rooney first (several times!) and than acted like he'd been castrated when he retaliated (if only... ). 2) ...except they didn't. Was it down to them, or the tactics imposed by Sven and McClaren? 3) I was right about this. Why else would they have played for penalties for an HOUR against 10 men? Sadly we couldn't take advantage. 4) Having an Argy referee an England game should have given us a sign of the result FIFA wanted. Sadly they got their wish..
