davieG Posted 28 May 2006 Posted 28 May 2006 Just watched it looked quite gd. when james brown sung and everyone was dancing did anyone see peter crouch's robot moves pml I watched some of the auction and I thought it was the most obscene flaunting of wealth I've every seen, I wish I had the balls to jack all this football supporting in, maybe next year I'll start watching a local parks type team.

You should come watch Friar Lane & Epworth, Leicestershire Senior League 2005/06 Champions.

At that level the game has moved beyond the "ordinary fan". <_<

This from another thread. Only when the last tree has died and the last river been poisoned and the last fish been caught will we realise we cannot eat money. I just got banned from the lounge by Bird for daring to suggest that maybe...just maybe...it would be possible for all of these tossers to dip into their pocket and not expect to be treated like Roman gods in return... Maybe they could just help out someone without expecting to appear on TV doing so... Maybe they could remember to have some damn humility...
Daggers Posted 28 May 2006 Posted 28 May 2006 It did look really good! Some nice cars!! odd - you liked the cars
dave_1988 Posted 28 May 2006 Posted 28 May 2006 Just watched it looked quite gd. when james brown sung and everyone was dancing did anyone see peter crouch's robot moves pml that was probably the worst robot i've ever seen!

Thracian Posted 28 May 2006 Posted 28 May 2006 You should come watch Friar Lane & Epworth, Leicestershire Senior League 2005/06 Champions. Does anyone remember the all-conquering Friar Lane team which had the likes of Dave Scriggins? Cracking side they were. Senior League champions for most of the 70's.
ThurmastonFox Posted 28 May 2006 Posted 28 May 2006 I thought it was the most irratating piece of celebrity back slapping in the name of "charidee" I have ever seen. Great, they have raised money, but the flaunting of wealth suggested they could have afforded a lot more. The Soccer Aid match on the other hand, looked like a class piece.
City Fan Posted 28 May 2006 Posted 28 May 2006 I can't help but think it was just one giant PR stunt to make the Beckham's look good instead of how they are often portrayed in the media. Fair enough have a party with a huge auction, but why the need for a program on TV showing how much Victoria spends on things? The program was really a load of crap, and they reckon they invited "the most richest and famous people in the world". Oh please. David Cameron? Jonathon Wilkes?
Guest Posted 29 May 2006 Posted 29 May 2006 i really enjoyed it,how people can slate the beckhams i dont know they do sooo much for kids i think its fantastic Attention seeking media whores. WTF does P Diddy care about the World Cup. Arseholes.
Nationwider Posted 29 May 2006 Posted 29 May 2006 **** 'em all. I respect the chap in his profession, but when you prostitute your image and your private life, you are fair game for a good slagging-off. Which is what the Becks's's's get from me! God I'm bitter.
burslem_boy Posted 29 May 2006 Posted 29 May 2006 Anyone seen this? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=02TIJNCOlF0 Even if its old, I like it

Well I hope all of the celebs/players gave there fee to charity, as Maradona's fee was £100,000 for playing and people like the bigheaded Robbie Williams earnt £10,000.....like he f**king needs it. These things makes a farce of charity sometimes.
