BBC OR ITV

BBC, obviously

Lord, I’ve tried the best I can

I’ve asked everybody in Kazakhstan

but I still don’t understand

Bob Wilson – anchorman.

I’ve been to Kent, Gwent and Senegal

I’ve even been to look for Jim Rosenthal

Found him on his knees at the Wailing Wall, crying

Bob Wilson – anchorman.

Well I marvel at the things we find beneath the ground

And that man can go faster than the speed of sound

But I still can’t get my head around

Bob Wilson – anchorman.

I’m cold and I’m hungry and I’m in Dundalk

I’ve got no bus fare; I’ve got to walk

It’s raining soup and I’ve got a fork

Where be my camper van?

Well I’d like to meet Stephenson, the engineer

And I’d like to meet Faraday and buy him a beer

And I’d love to meet the bloke who had the bright idea of

Bob Wilson – anchorman.

Beeb all the way, oh Gary Gary

Hmm Hansen or Andy Dimwit Townsend? It's a no brainer - the Beeb kicks ITV's ass. ITV like cigars, blondes and Frank Sinatra...that's all they discuss at meetings [my brother worked there]. When it comes to sports they still haven't worked out what to do since the decline of wrestling and World Of Sport.

The only decent thing about ITV is gabby logan

BBC do need to address this situation at some point. Where's Suzi Perry when you need her?

Ruud Gullit.... is it just me, or is he looking a bit like Craig Charles?

What was Charles done for? Drugs, sex or violence?

Yeah he does a bit.

He was really shite, very disjointed summaries and some long awkward pauses through the analysis between all of the panelists. By the way i like bbcs studio.

Southgate was appalling, if that's the best ITV can muster then their executives need replacing.

ITV has Pleat. 'Nuff said.

Seconded. The man is a cretin. I swear he must have Polaroids of the ITV head of sport in compromising situations. Actually knowing Pleat, he's probably in the Polaroids as well.

Agree with both of the above, in fact it was my first thought when I saw this topic headline!

BBC - don't watch 'analysis and reaction from the panel' time to enter the garden and have a ciggie. The Beeb just seems to have a depth and quality that ITV lack. But as said before, I'll watch both 'cos its football and its not on sky.

The FA will brick it if MON is on anywhere, he'll be asked the question and he'll give his answer.

He was, he was and he kind of did...

I prefer BBC, mainly cause of no breaks and Ian Wright, and Gabby Logan just pisses me off no end.

If it is blond and commenting on football it knows nothing:

  1. Gabby Logan
  2. Barry Venison
  3. ...

I think Southgate is a good co-commentator, better than people like Pleat and Mark Bright (Bright is too loud for my liking and never really makes sense).
