Ric Flair Posted 30 June 2006 Posted 30 June 2006 Kelly must have a revolutionary dream with what he's doing at Leicester in the transfer market, it's shaping up quite nicely for him, just not for the fans! I've heard whispers he's going to convert Joe Hamill in to a battling central midfielder and he'll be first choice next season. Rab Douglas, Momo Sylla and Mark de Vries have also been given the thumbs up for first team spots. New team and formation as follows, this is on the back of today's Mercury straight from Kelly's recent press conference. DOUGLAS McCAULEY (sweeper) MAYBURY KENTON McCARTHY © NISSA TIATTO SYLLA JOHNSON HAMILL (chief playmaker) DE VRIES It's all mapped out. This will seeing fans in in the lorry load down at The Walkers over the coming month desperately trying to snaffle the few remaining season tickets, which are already rumoured to be going for 5 figures on ebay. Some neighbourhoods are buying 1 or 2 between them and sharing the games in equal measures as they can't afford such a prized possession on their own. By Bill Anderson

Have you thought about TV Comedy scriptwriting - or Sci-Fi - what you said, sounds like a Dr Who plot !
Polyphonic Posted 30 June 2006 Posted 30 June 2006 no Hume and Fryatt in the plans then No apparently they are to be sold, so we can afford Deep Freezes goal scoring bonus ..
BartonFox Posted 30 June 2006 Posted 30 June 2006 Imagine if Deep Sh*t played 30+ games. Dear god! He'd score 10 goals which is more than Hammond and O'Grady will achieve in their careers.

Finn Claw Posted 2 July 2006 Posted 2 July 2006 I think kelly is opting for an unorthadox 4 4 2 with 2 right backs and 2 right wingers, forget the left hand side of the pitch let the other team can have that lets just swmp the right hand side. Douglas Stearman Kenton McCarthy McCauley Lowe Sylla Williams Kisnorbo (back in his rightful central midfield role) Fryatt and Hume t

By Bill Anderson why so negative - seems that all some people want to do on here is moan - and yes it's still moaning whether it's dressed up in sarcasm or not. Can't people please get behind RK and the team?
Durnerz Posted 2 July 2006 Posted 2 July 2006 This dream is becoming more of a nightmare. I'll wait until the day before the big kick off to decide though.
The Stig Posted 2 July 2006 Posted 2 July 2006 im actually optamistic we can have a respectable season, and i actually think Mark De Vries will surpprise us this year, in a nice way, you heard it hear first

You've had your fun now, Ric. Of course, I'd very much fancy a 6-3-1 without Hume and Fryatt playing at all...
harry Posted 3 July 2006 Posted 3 July 2006 Laughing aside I think we'll be okay this year. The one thing that bothers me is that our squad size is significantly greater than for the past two seasons and, minus parachute money and bearing in mind the signings, I think we can expect two to four departures. The obvious candidates would be De Vries (out on loan last year), Hammond (squad player), Hammill (not featured in Kelly's plans), Sylla (likely to be surplus, considering the Low signing), Gerrbrand (considering McCauley), possibly Douglas (Logan signed a new deal). But it'd be terrible if it was Kisnorbo or, worse, Stearman. Thankfully Kisnorbo SAYS he wants to stay and Stearman, being a Leicester boy, is unlikely to want to become a squad player at Wigan. Judging by this thread I'm guessing you're not too fussed about the rest of them, though. Personally, I think the most likely to go would be Gerrbrand, possibly Sylla. I think Kenton is effectively a replacement for Sylla (I think Kelly sees Maybury as a first choice winger now, ahead of Sylla, so that's why he's signed Kenton). So we shouldn't panic too much. Yet...
Dr The Singh Posted 3 July 2006 Posted 3 July 2006 This is no dream, it is s nightmare, let's hope RK wakes up and get's back to reality!!
