Daggers Posted 1 July 2006 Posted 1 July 2006 What a great day, what an exciting game. If you didn't have fun today then I feel sorry for you because we all had a blast. It was a 1/4 final, we weren't good enough (again), but it was a moment to savour not feel bitter about. Seven pints, one hot dog, one Owen Hargreaves and a whole lot of sun. And you know what people...the summer has only just begun! C'mon Leicester!
Leicester Lass Posted 1 July 2006 Posted 1 July 2006 On reflection you're probably right. We were not good enough for many reasons yet again but those players did us proud today, the way they played after going down to 10 men was inspirational. There's always 2010....
davieG Posted 1 July 2006 Posted 1 July 2006 It's another day tomorrow and I for one can't contain myself at the thought of that man in his new Leicester City shirt with Eleven on the back running out at Filbert Way.

I'm off for two weeks on Monday so stuff Sven and England!! Come on Leicester!!!!
Daggers Posted 1 July 2006 Author Posted 1 July 2006 Tell you what, I'd have been pissed off if we hadn't bothered playing - like in the other games...but to go out having given it a good shout, well that's OK. We did ok today, but we didn't get the rub of the green - and hopefully, it'll be the last time we EVER see 4-5-1!
Master Fox Posted 1 July 2006 Posted 1 July 2006 It was a gutsy performance from 10 man England and you couldn’t really expect much more from the players. It’s always disappointing to lose on penalties but we’re all very used to it by now. It’s just the way it goes and people sometimes need reminding it is only a game. Anyway, at least we won’t have to listen to Sven anymore!

And you know what people...the summer has only just begun! C'mon Leicester! My tally was five cans, an unknown quantity of sauasge rolls, one Owen Hargreaves and a streaming cold. Well you can't beat watching England for a bit of drama.... Am I allowed to utter the words, "if only...?"
Daggers Posted 1 July 2006 Author Posted 1 July 2006 Buggeration England made it crap. Only if you made the dumbass choice of staying sober. Beer goggles allow you to have SO much more fun in life. If I didn't have children to look after I'd never straighten out....

Daggers Posted 3 July 2006 Author Posted 3 July 2006 Plus you will probably come back with some sort of disease! Yea, my brother went and he came back with a cold AND a perforated ear drum. And I don't think they do fish and chips there. And they do giraffe-baiting, which is like badger-baiting only with a much deeper pit.
