I always presumed it was better to have windows open in hot weather but I've consulted 4 people in the past few days and 3 of them have said I'm just letting the heat in. Discuss (or ignore).

if you have good air con then its important to keep the windows closed

but without it open them and take off all your clothes and sit next to the fridge with door open

The NHS has a list of priorities. I believe, out of 23,372 items, installing air conditioning in the IT Helpdesk comes in at a heady 461,000,374,512nd.

It wont be long then, so chill out.

Maybe if you started being less helpful they might bump you up the list - conversely, you could be super helpful (solving IT problems and assisting in theatre).

In a house with no air con - daytime - open, but at night closed until you go to bed, cos the amount of insect that come into my house with the lights on is untrue

Windows open. In the evenings & at night.

I like it especially at night when you got outside air coming in, also during Summer tempests when it's raining and it pushes that special fresh smell & cold wind into the house... Love it!

I find the burglars treading on my head as they climb in slightly annoying.

That's what you get for having a ground floor appartment!

My mum always said I had no brains, so I don't know how I would feel to miss it, but some guy in the pub is selling one, i'm thinking of buying it, it could be yours but it seems abit small to be yours!! :P

I was told recently it's better to keep everything closed.

I was doing this anywayt (through sheer laziness) and my house is chilly as.

It helps that it's made from stone though.
