Does anyone else think its a complete load of b*llocks? It takes ages for me to sign in and when I do finally manage to do so, my whole contact list has vanished! If you've not downloaded it yet then don't bother!

If you've not downloaded it yet then don't bother! thanks for the warning i put the new google toolbar on and it messed loads of other programmes up ; had to delete and reinstall loads of stuff

The People's Hero Posted 19 July 2006 Posted 19 July 2006 My contact list has also completely vanished. It also disconnects and reconnects me every 4 or 5 minutes. Not sure why I expected more from Micro$oft?

Just got the real version today and after its constant signing in for pointless minuits and having my contact list ranished it started working fine just a while back
lookwhaticando Posted 23 July 2006 Posted 23 July 2006 The MSN ==> Windows Live change was brough about by Microsoft's 'Web 2.0' marketing drive. I've had Beta for months, it's always worked. When I installed WLM on my new laptop, my contact list didn't turn up. I didn't worry about it too much. Sure enough, the next morning, my contacts all appeared. I believe they changed something related to account management, probably something to do with the 'live contact updates' and so on, that's more complex than the original system. As a result, not everyone can retrieve their contact list right away. If you fail to see your contact list, just sign out and try again a few hours later
