The Stig Posted 18 August 2006 Share Posted 18 August 2006 Henderson 6 Looked nervy when claiming and should of held more Kenton 6 Dealt with what he had to Mcarthy 7 Looked convincing Johannson 7 Did well and looked solid Low 6 Movement was good but final ball was not Hughes 7 Looked lively coming forward Johnson 6 Quiet but decent Porter 7 Solid debut and id prefer him to Tiatto anyday, Final ball again needs to improve Hammond 7 Good Preformance, did well and looked bright Fryatt 7 Also good and was cabable of more, should have shot and gambled more instead of taking another touch Hume 6 Looked good and if played a full match would have been 7 Weslowsi 6 Good coming forward Stearman 6 Did what was needed The difference between a mid table side and a play off side is that in dominant patches they score, tonight we didn't and thats why we didn't win. We need to start scoring when we're on top week in and week out, crossing needs to improve, need to work on winning more arieal balls and i'd like a big striker, however good but not brilliant preformance and pleased with the point. Thracian Posted 18 August 2006 Share Posted 18 August 2006 Henderson 6.5 (Solid enough, just occasional hesitancy and the casualness that almost cost a potential rebound goal) Kenton 7 (Calm and efficient. Our best user of the ball from defence) McCarthy 7 (Busy and committed. But indifferent distribution) Kisnorbo 8.5 (Quality defender) Nils 6.5 (excellent defensive work but too many hopeful aerial passes, again). Low 7 (Good skills, good crosses, often involved). Hughes 6.5 (Busy first half, faded later, just not enough of a boss) Johnson 6 (Not greatly impressed at all) Porter 7 (Good passing on his full debut, forever trying to make something happen. May have blocked a goalbound shot as a bonus). Fryatt 6 (Moments of skill and promise but never dominant) Hammond 5 (Still failed to get his head up and see the pictures. Nothing notable throughout). Subs: Hume 6.5. Stearman (no rating).
Poakey Posted 18 August 2006 Share Posted 18 August 2006 Henderson 6 ,not too convincing Kenton 7 ,always kept cool and didnt put a foot wrong McCarthy 7 ,No messin Kisnorbo 9,Abosolote rock, won everything thrown at him Nils 7 ,ok at back also made some decent passes Low 7 ,always a threat out wide, cant shoot tough Hughes 7 ,Ok,ran about a bit, maybe too much?knackered at the end Johnson 5 ,was he really on the pitch? Porter 7.5 ,good pace, will cause problems in this league Fryatt 7 ,poor 1st half, come too life mid to end of 2nd half(especially when Hume came on)and looked class Hammond 5 ,only really has his pace going for him, dosent get into dangorous positions,i feel if he did he still wouldnt score. only notable sub was Hume, why has Kelly broken the fryatt/hume partnership?they looked good together. lcfcalan Posted 18 August 2006 Share Posted 18 August 2006 Henderson 7 not too much to do , but didnt eff it up . Kenton 8 showed calm cool defending . McCarthy 8 I think the captains armband is definately boosting his confidence Kisnorbo 7 looking forward to more solid performances (what time he had was well used tonight) Nils 7 he really does give a good example to the younger players, (so far ) Low 7 worked his bollocks off Hughes 6 steady performer Johnson 6 young and needs to (and I believe he does) take in some criticism and use it to learn. Porter 7 Busy boy , will improve rapidly. Fryatt 6 hard worker solid performance to come soon ? Hammond 5 (Steady but boring )

Lichfieldfox. Posted 18 August 2006 Share Posted 18 August 2006 Saw game on sky as prev documented why in another thread Henderson 6 pulled off a few good saves but not great on 2 crosses and 1 free kick Kenton 7.5 very impressive, shame injury took him off McCarthy 7.5 solid performance Kisnorbo 8 Geat defending, won everything thrown at him Nils 7, best performance he's had so far AND made some decent passes and 2 good shots Low 7, good first half, jaded second half Hughes 7 ,worked hard as general in MF but lacked penetrating final ball Johnson 6 I'm sure better to come, for me Williams is a better player Porter 7.5, needed to make final ball tell more but very promising Fryatt 7,ot to get a goal soon, missed 1 good chance but worked very hard with little help from Elvis Hammond 5 not up to it,often in wrong place and can't shoot, did better vs Ispwich Subs Stearman Solid, not on long enough Hume 6 lit Fryatt up and had good shot needs to start Weso 6 Tackled well and effective job in changed formation.I'd like to see him start Ref/Lino 6 Hall not bad.Harsh booking for Levi, lino gave Fryatt offside wrongly when through on goal

teblin Posted 19 August 2006 Share Posted 19 August 2006 Henderson 6 (worries me every time a cross comes in) Kenton 7 solid Johansson 7 Kisnorbo 9 Won everything! McCarthey 7 best game this season Lowe 7 Looked dangerous final ball a bit lacking but needs a target! Porter 8 Great full debut Johnson 7 Steady does his job Hughes 6 still not sure seems nothing more than average! Fryatt 7 Did alright looked like might cause trouble when he got the ball and turned Hammond 5 Just not good enough, he is only a footballer as he can run fast, no first touch, and i don't even think he looks bothered. Hume 6 needs to start!

C-man Posted 19 August 2006 Share Posted 19 August 2006 I can't really remember the game now! So these ratings should be interesting Henderson - 6 (Didn't deal with a few crosses he came out for and perhaps should have stayed on his line) Kenton - 7 (Did alright) Kisnorbo - 8 (Solid as he was last year) McCarthy - 7 (Don't think he should have won the MOTM award but he did well) Nils - 6 - (meh) Low - 7 (I was impressed by Low, its the first time i've seen City this season because of holiday and he looked half decent) Porter - 7 (he went to my school ) Hughes - 7 (I met his best mate ) Johnson - 6 (Meh) Fryatt - 7 (Should have scored, but played alright) Hammond - 5 (wtf? Huuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuume) SUBS Stearman - 5 (Meh) Weso - 7 (He went to my school ) Hume - 7 (Should start)
Finn Claw Posted 19 August 2006 Share Posted 19 August 2006 Henderson 7 Kenton 8 - Our best summer signing McCarthy 7.5 - solid Kisnorbo 8 - a rock Nils 6 - can defend a bit but isn't a full back Low 7.5 - good crosses and looks like a nutcase Hughes 7 - no killer passes but is looking fitter, still faded late on Johnson 5.5 tackles a bit - get weso in Porter 7 - steady performance didn't give the ball away Fryatt 7 - always looked dangerous was isolated at times Hammond 5.5 - poor positional play bring in hume and weso and we buy left back and we could go far

Stuliasz Posted 19 August 2006 Share Posted 19 August 2006 Henderson 6 - Shakiest game of the season but didn't cost us Kenton 7.5 - Excellent again Johansson 7 - Just needs a bit more composure on the ball McCarthy 8 - Both centre backs superb Kisnorbo 8 - As above Low 7 - Worked hard and eventually got the chance to put in some quality balls Porter 7 - Did ok for a full debut Johnson 5 - Off the ball worked hard, on the ball he was diabolical Hughes 6.5 - Needs to put some muscle on and use the wings more Hammond 6 - Badly needs to work on his first touch Fryatt 7 - Worked so hard again and only a super tackle from Heath prevented his first goal, needs to stop getting caught offside all the time though. Hume 7 - Did ok when he came on, tested the keeper
dandannieldanok Posted 19 August 2006 Share Posted 19 August 2006 Henderson 6 - Claimed some decnt crosses but also looked shaky Kenton 8 - Great work defensively and good ball use McCarthy 7 - Did a very solid job Kisnorbo 8 - Very strong in the air and tackling on the ground too Johansson 6.5 - Covered well at time in the air in out penalty box Low 7.5 - Excellent first half but didn't get much of the ball as Coventry pressed on later in the game Johnson 7 - Ran around and tackled twice as much as any of our other players, passing let him down too often Hughes 5.5 - Some nice passes in the first half but was just a standing silhouette for most of the second half Porter 7 - Still a bit rough around the edges as far as passing is concerned but at moments was superb Hammond 6 - Some nice lay-offs but never really got into the game Fryatt 8 - Worked his socks off and caused real problems for the Cov defence SUBS Stearman 4 Wesolowski 5.5 Hume 6.
TAFKA Castroneves Posted 19 August 2006 Share Posted 19 August 2006 Henderson - 6 - Looked a bit shaky now and again, however still was overall decent. Kenton - 8 - Another great performance from Kenton, he's been great so far. McCarthy - 7 - His passion got me, he was really up for it and it showed. Kisnorbo - 9 - Loving it, brillant stuff from Pat, very rarely made a mistake - I can only remember 1. Johansson - 7 - Much better from Nils, but still needs overall a bit of work here and there. Low - 6 - Went through spells, was great and then poor, his crossing wasn't that brillant last night. Johnson - 7 - First time he's had an impression on me, his challenges in the middle made his game. Hughes - 6 - Works better than Williams with Johnson, hope he can made minor improvements here and there. Porter - 7 - Did okay, not a finished product yet but caused some problems. Hammond - 5 - Reminded me of De Vries now and again, held up the ball but never did anything with it. Fryatt - 7 - Put a lot of work in for little result, he's getting there. Bench: Logan Stearman - 4 - Lost it a bit, needs a confidence boost to return to former form. Maybury Wesolowski - 5 - Not amazing, but didn't seem entirely fit. Hume - 6 - Sat far too deep, we changed to Cov's original formation when he came on - didn't work. But overall the back four made this performance, solid and I think with a couple more tweeks on the training pitch we'll be there

Gamesmaster Posted 19 August 2006 Share Posted 19 August 2006 Henderson 6 The only blip being the pass back, but did well and who the hell is rab right now? Kenton 8 spuer display. Kenton is becoming a great "buy". what he does very well, is play the role of his position. he doesnt try and do things he knows he cant, he just tackles, passes and reads the game cooly. Kisnorbo 7 did well, seems to be growing a good partnership along the back four. Mcarthy 7 just a 7, not showing captain material yet, might be a bit of a burden on him. Johannson 7 "Did well and looked solid". Agreed, he's a kenton type player, does what it says on his footballing contract. Low 7 this lad is showing why rob signed him, he's yet another one who plays the game to the best of HIS ability. I expect he's been told to get the ball in as quick as poss, he does that brilliantly. Last night (first half) he pushed the ball forward and imediately whiped in the ball, like grease lightning. This lads got a future. Hughes 6 this lad annoys me emensely. He does work hard for the cause, but he doesnt have a footballing brain, and in his position, thats crucial. he loses the ball far too easy. Johnson 7 with the right players around him gelling, this guy will eventually shine. Porter 7 same again, but in future, give him plenty of the ball on the half way line, and if theres less than 3 players in front, tell him to ATTACK, they hate it. did you see cov's RB sweat, MORE PLEASE Hammond 6 didnt quite get his grip on the game. Fryatt 7 this guys hungry for goals!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Hume 6 amazingly, we take off a tall striker, bring humey on, and play the long ball... Weslowsi 6 Stearman 6 Kelly 7.5 i wasn't a great fan of rob's, but im seeing what hes brought to the table now, and its proving to be good aqusitions. A tad of luck, and hard work, and we'll do fine. Great seletioning in porter, it shows that rob isnt too caution, isnt too scared of trying to WIN, YES, MORE!!
