Are England Playing In A Morgue?

After watching the scotland match with a great atmosphere despite playing a poor team, the atmosphere at old trafford is terrible.

I thought Scotland would have suffered from all the plastic fans that have taken over english grounds but maybe scotland still get passionate fans going to grounds.

It's pretty embarassing.

Alot of people feel that the Scottish are generally more passionate people. just a thought.

They managed all right today but generally, Scotland need all the support they can get to beat anyone. Withg England, playing Andorra is about as challenging as Leicester playing Quorn.

For Gods sake, we've got to wait another week for the next Leicester game because of these crappy internationals. I really couldn't give two sh1ts about England! Come on Leicester!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Can't believe that over 56000 spent time and money to watch that mismatch.

Andorra are a pub team. They should not be playing at European Championship level.

I like watching England as it allows us to watch some world class players because if anyone hasnt noticed, we havnt got any down at the Walkers. My two favourite players are Steven Gerrard and Wayne Rooney and obviously i see Leicester play everyweek so England games are the only chance to watch them in games i care about. Its also nice to watch a winning team every so often, dont get me wrong i love watching the boys in blue, but the internationals offer a nice break and helps build up the excitement to the next game after an international break.

i wouldnt mind paying to see Leicester score five goals everyweek if we were one of the better teams in europe and were unbeatable. imagine that! but only for a couple of seasons or it could get boring, i'm not fussy. :D

They should scrap the Euro Championships and play the World Cup every two years instead. These qualifiers and England just doesn't interest me at all; today’s game was so boring! I much prefer club football.

Come on it was against andorra, you can hardly blame the fans for not making alot of noise. England were expected to nail them.

But scotland were expected to beat the faroe islands but generated a good atmosphere, thats my point.

How dare you, Leicester would find Quorn a tough game!

hey I live in Quorn and I find that quite insulting. Especially after seeing how we played v Luton and Burnley

But they still drew against them in 1999 and 2002 when they were expected to beat them.

Andora on the other hand have only ever won one competetive match and have never got a point in European Championship Qualifying.

Plus England have been used to qualifying for competitions recently, unlike Scotland (which upsets me, I want more matches like Euro 1996).

I lived in Quorn, on Station Road. Smashing place Quorn although my enduring memory is of ambarrassing myself by leaving the hood down on my Consul Convertible in a thunderstorm!.

PS: Can't you forget about Luton and Burnley?. It's like reflecting on the darkest of nightmares.

Some people are never happy, England won and got off to a good start, we didn't have a shot against us all game, and scored we scored 5 good goals, which is already a big boost for our goal difference, scottish fans may claim they're better than us after they scored one more goal than us, so let them have their moment of glory and wait 'til they come crashing back to earth on Wednesday.

The scots may well create a good atmosphere, but when was the last time they got to 3 succesive international quarter finals?

And before people start picking at my post - you can only beat what's in front of you.

Were they playing Hinckley then? :P

Andorra are a pub team. They should not be playing at European Championship level.

...and neither should Lampard and Brown.

I can not remember a more boring 5-0 victory! I felt that the wasteful use of possession exemplified that England still have a number of big problems.

Yes Lampard was shocking today

I wonder how many bad games he has to have before he is replaced?

There is no way he should play on Wednesday after his shite WC performances and todays debacle. I would like to see the stats, but it seemed as though 50% of his passes went astray. No forward movement, no shots on target, no nothing.

Phil bloody Neville played better.

In all fairness to Lampard the entire team sat in the middle of the park defending, it was never gonna be the perfect game for the attacking central midfielder.

Having said that Andorra are a a bag of knackers, he should've at least had a shot or something even if no one deflected it into the goal for him.

Yup...but that didn't stop Hargreaves from playing well. He got forward, shot and passed in a far superior fashion to Lampard.

Lamps has looked off the pace for the last five England games, that I can remember.

Becks was allowed to go on and on and on. He has to be dropped for Wednesday because he is simply occupying a shirt at present.

True story.

He's performed well for England in the past (especially with his ability to shoot at opposition defenders so it gets deflected into the goal) but since the beginning of the World Cup he's been a bit pants, maybe dropping him would be the wake up call he could do with.
