Reasons why we should not fire Rob Kelly

I don't think you're in the minority. You're just not in the cluster**** around Thracian and BartonFox.

Oooh get you.

Trouble is BartonFox and Thracian have been right all along

I'm in the minority as usual but I reckon Kelly will turn this round.

I wish I could find the evidence to be so convinced.

However, despite all I've said I still hope you're right. But he will need to broaden his mind and wise up pretty quickly. And like an alcoholic or a gambler, he has to first admit he's got problems and then be willing to put em right.

All along? Remind me of what you thought after the Charlton game?

Kelly must go.

To think otherwise is to be an idiot.

Fact.

Wouldn't go that far.....I'd say the arguement that he has very little to work with and should be given some time to at least have a go at turning it around is just as valid at this point in time.

He's had time and taken us nowhere. We were relegation fodder when he took over. He's had the opportunity to stamp his authority on it. He's spent money.

Problem - he's Leveinite.

We're better off getting rid.

Beg to differ, all three of his signings have been free transfers, he's forked out for three players wages, two league two and one dried up WBA reserve. We've lost Morris and Gudjohnson both on high wages, cancelled Hamill and Gerrbrands contracts and sent De Vries out on a season long loan.

But the point of the post was meant to be (and appreciate due to drunkeness the point wasn't made) that he has taken us from relegation fodder to relegation fodder.

Not good enough.

He's not been given the resources to improve the squad so how are we suppoused to get better? It's a sad sorry state of affairs, RK may not be a bad manager but he is massivly out of his depth. We are going nowhere until we get even a small amount of money, what manager is going to want to work for us if we're going to pay him duff wages and not give him any money to bring in at least one or two players.

We get better by using the players properly, where they are most effective and in proper balance. And then by adapting tactics most suited to winning the matches with those players.

I have very little faith in most of our playing squad at the moment, none of them seem to be able to do their jobs week in week out.

Exactly. There is no easy answer when so few players have the basic ingredients of will to win and first touch.

We're Leicester fans and by definition we are fickle, unsatisfied and like to call for the head of our manager. So I really don't care what people say.. I'm doing what I know best. I'm doing what LCFC fans do when things go badly.. I'm picking a scapegoat (RK and the board) and I want them out.

It could get worse with another man in charge, I accept that, but it's not going to get better with this clown in charge. If we're going to be cr ap/get relegated, I'd rather we did it whilst attempting to make a change to improve, rather than the current whimper, concession, pile of shi te, crap.

Come on then smart arses, lets have some ideas for replacements then, that a) we can afford after we have paid whatever we owe RK after weve sacked him, b ) wants to come to Leicester (because, lets face it who would want to damage their reputation by managing us?) and c) would be willing to be booed after 2 games in charge because we havent won 7-0 in both games.

Its all one upmanship rollocks on this forum and its boring!

Keyteh, I'm not looking for someone who can produce 7-0 games in the first 2 matches!

I would be happy with a few 1-0 or 2-0 wins!

I would be happy with someone playing our players in their natural positions

I would be happy with someone who doesn't treat home games like away games!

Managers don't mind coming to clubs with reputations of firing managers - look at Villa, MON went there despite the regular use of Doug Ellis's axe.

How about Alan Curbishley? He's out of work...

Just don't suggest any ex players who are inexperienced in managing clubs ie Lennon, Walsh etc cos we will be back to square one in 12 months!

MON went there because he knew Ellis was stepping down

Curbishley would want more than we can afford to pay him and I dont think he's that desperate for work just yet.

He's not going to get the resources for a long time yet, either!!

We need someone who can work with what we already have, put a team out, with good tactics and motivate them. If RK can't do that, he is in the wrong job.

I don't appreciate being called a smartarse for saying that the current shambles is not good enough.

Like I've said previously, I'd rather we act now and have a real good go at salvaging this season by making some changes (and I accept there is a risk of going down) than just continue the malaise, slump, whatever you want to call it.

It all comes down to whether you think RK can turn this round. I don't think he can. I'm not even convinced he wants to be doing the job.

We'll be okay once Mandaric takes over and we can actually afford to buy one or two players instead of relying on shit.

AHHHHHHH WE'RE NOT GOING TO GET CURBS!!! RRRAHHHH STOP SUGGESTING IT!!! HE WAS IN THE ENGLAND FRAME FFS WE'VE GOT MORE CHANCE OF GETTING SVEN!!!!

He has gone on record, he is currently on holiday, and will be looking to get himself a "top job" at the end of October. This is not a top job, we have absloutley NOTHING to offer him.

Taking things personally again TPH

Saturdays game was one of the most uninspiring performances ive ever seen and ive seen some shite in my time. It appears that RK has lost the confidence of the players, as did CL.

I stand by my smart arse comment and ask again - what is the realistic alternative?
