DanTheFoxBhoy Posted 30 September 2006 Posted 30 September 2006 If we carry on like this Kelly will want the same team next week. If it stays the same will another "nil" represent success or failure? That's a tough one. You could say it would represent expectation, but after having played well so far, people will be pissed if we concede again at a late stage.
Mark Posted 30 September 2006 Posted 30 September 2006 That's a tough one. You could say it would represent expectation, but after having played well so far, people will be pissed if we concede again at a late stage. Have we? If we're not scoring or creating chances again then it's failure, whoever the opposition. Birmingham may have spent money, but they haven't been playing like a good side all season. I won't be happy with a point if we haven't been capable of putting pressure on their goal. Currently we're turning every game in into some of the worst football matches.
Leicfox Posted 30 September 2006 Posted 30 September 2006 If we carry on like this Kelly will want the same team next week. If it stays the same will another "nil" represent success or failure? I suppose its a likely success IF we get another nil today, Its a big IF though.

You could say it would represent expectation, but after having played well so far, people will be pissed if we concede again at a late stage. Continually drawing games with a decent defensive display will only get you so far. These sort of performances would be okay if we beat teams like Hull or Colchester at home but when we don't, the pressure is on to get more than just a point away from home against better teams. The bottom line is that we need to win games, not just put up decent performances away from home without winning and then looking equally clueless when the onus is on us to attack at home.
lookwhaticando Posted 30 September 2006 Author Posted 30 September 2006 Whoa, what an improvement in audio quality.
City_4_Life Posted 30 September 2006 Posted 30 September 2006 Come on Leicester lets have a smash and grab.
DanTheFoxBhoy Posted 30 September 2006 Posted 30 September 2006 If we're not scoring or creating chances again then it's failure, whoever the opposition. True... I guess it's complacency that 'holding out' against a better team is considered something of good play. Most were optimistic after the Sunderland match! It will have longer term consequences if something isn't done to get the ball up front. (+ Fez's comments)
Thracian Posted 30 September 2006 Posted 30 September 2006 John Barber'smentioned Leicester had chances. I remember McAuley bringing a save from Taylor. What were the others? Saving tackle from Kenton to prevent immediate goal from Birmingham!.
nhfox Posted 30 September 2006 Posted 30 September 2006 Whoa, what an improvement in audio quality. I don't have to listen to the Brum commentators say "Hoom" or "Tie-atto" anymore
Northants Fox Posted 30 September 2006 Posted 30 September 2006 Almost 1 down in the first minute of the second half
Daggers Posted 30 September 2006 Posted 30 September 2006 5live said the first half made him want to get into his car and go back out to sit in the M42 roadworks

Fez of Mahrez Posted 30 September 2006 Posted 30 September 2006 I love it when the co-commentators use words like "bollocked".

Jamesino_LCFC Posted 30 September 2006 Posted 30 September 2006 Can someone answer me some questions please; 1. Why is James Wesolowski out of the team? 2. Why is Levi Porter out of the team? 3. Why is Andy Johnson still in the team?
Frenzied Posted 30 September 2006 Posted 30 September 2006 o-o at brum is a decent result considering our current plight

We've no other proper options readily available, apart from a set of half-fits. (Williams, Porter)
Fez of Mahrez Posted 30 September 2006 Posted 30 September 2006 Oh great. If Elvis does anything remotely constructive we're never going to hear the end of it from Thracian.
