Behind Closed doors Against Derby

Is there a proper teamsheet out somehwere, so we can see exactly who played?

For all we know at the minute, we could have played 22 different players during the game - and we've only been told of about 7 of them. :P

Any indication Dodds got some all-important action?

Do you think he can still recognise a football?

Might be someone else with the same name but there's been a Louis Dodds playing some games for Birstall United this season and if I remember correctly, Birstall have had this Louis Dodds playing for them in seasons gone by too. Would make sense if the club are letting him play football for Birstall but not sure how good the standard would be?

He's scoreing record seems unbelivable. I've seen WBA and Cov's accademy recently, both were dire. The former got battered by a team that only stayed in the confernce because other teams dropped out or got relegated for breaking laws.

However Gradel is scoreing in every game from the right wing. Surely 10 mins cant hurt.

That's faith....! :D:D:D

Gareth Farrelly is shit, and has been since the age of about 23. Can't belevie Kelly would even entertain the idea of signing him.

Maybe he's just having a laugh.

"God, he's twice as shit as Sylla!"

Or maybe he's trying to build up the confidence of his youngsters.

"You're a lot better than you think, kids, just look at this pathetic pair of wankers!"

Or perhaps make his youngsters work harder.

"Come on lads, you gotta put in the effort, or you'll look like this muppet in a few years time"

Farrelly Training With Foxes

0,,10274~3009478,00.jpg

City assistant manager Mike Stowell today confirmed that former Republic of Ireland international midfielder Gareth Farrelly is currently training with the Foxes.

Farrelly (31) joins Carl Asaba, who is also training with the club on a non-contract basis.

And Stowell confirmed that they would be taking a good look at the duo during the international break.

He said: "Gareth has had spells at Bolton, Everton and Wigan and he now just wants to play football again. We know he is a good player and we will take a look at him.

"He is a non-contract player and he wants to do some work and get fit. He wants to see where he is.

"Carl has been here for two weeks. It was a shame that he had a slight strain during the first week, which meant that he couldn't train fully.

"He had a full week of training last week and he played in the friendly against Derby on Tuesday, as did Gareth.

"We have got no game for 11 days now and that break will allow us to take a really good look at both players."

He moved to Everton in July 1997 for approx. £700k, scoring the goal that preserved their Premiership status on the final day of the 1997/98 season. However, he was soon on the move to Bolton, initially on loan. He won promotion back to the Premiership with Bolton in 2001

Wikipedia - updated just today, in fact!

And there it is.

He saved one team from Relegation one season.

Then helped another team to promotion in another season.

Just what we need, if the doom and gloom is to be believed.

Oh my ****en god. Whats he trying to do wheel off all of the current premiership clubs he's played for? negelct to mention the fact that they were all Shite while he was there? Everton scrapped prem survival and Bolton and Wigan were in this division, in fact Wigan may have even of been in the old div 2!! not to mention that was FIVE YEARS AGO!!!!!! You've lost the plot Rob Kelly.

And since when I do agree with everything he does?

Don't you start...the blokes a has been I honestly thought he had retired! does you little Wikipedia article not say anything about Bolton telling him where to go when they got promoted?

Now im in a bad mood.

EDIT:

but then fell out of favour. He was subsequently loaned out to Rotherham, Burnley, Bradford, and latterly Wigan.

Yes it does!

If Farrelly's so keen why does he need to get fit two months into the season. I'd sooner see Andy King wearing the shirt.

Do they never learn? We've got a young team. We don't want old timers. We want people with energy and passion who are going somewhere not coming back.

'Out of favour' lol

And I'm sorry.

I'm just trying to put a bit of a (funny?) spin on things, see if the move is logical (and hence likely) or not. ;)

What they fail to mention is the fat b'std was a failure as a player and manager in the League of Ireland with Bohemians.

It smells like Nathan Blake and Craig Hignett all over again.

From the Bohemians website:

Gareth played his schoolboy football with Home Farm. Aston Villa signed him as a 16-year-old in 1992, and he made his Villa début in September 1995. He moved to Everton in July 1997 for approx. £700k, scoring the goal that preserved their Premiership status on the final day of the 1998/99 season.

However, he was soon on the move to Bolton, initially on loan. He won promotion back to the Premiership with Bolton in 2001, but then fell out of favour.

He was subsequently loaned out to Rotherham, Burnley, Bradford, and latterly Wigan.

Made his full international début as a 21-year-old, and has 6 caps. Joined Bohs late August 2004 as player-manager, making his début as a late substitute in the 1-0 home win v. Cork City on 17 September 2004.

He scored three goals for Bohemians last season!. Big deal.

I fear that that is horribly close to the mark.

With abit of luck, we'll sign Asaba Bin Laden and then George Bush will catch wind of it and send his troops down to The Walkers to execute him. Let's hope Tiatto, Johnson, Douglas, Nils and a few others get caught up in the chaos aswell.

Just think, we could get rid of all the dross and then claim on the insurance!!!!

Do we have insurance?

I thought that was one of the things we bombed out on after administration?

There might be an excess we have to pay, but these are surely un-desirable items so the excess would be a pittance.
