Monk Posted 18 October 2006 Share Posted 18 October 2006 Hopefully those values will increase with maturity and age - particularly Weso, Stearman, Porter, Logan etc. Tiatto must be worth a fair bit after the goal. I reckon about 6 mil...
Swedging Posted 18 October 2006 Share Posted 18 October 2006 Logan = 85k Douglas = 40k Henderson = 100k Maybury = 250k Stearman = 1,250,000 McAuley = 180k McCarthy = 400k Kenton = 180k N E Johansson = 220k Kisnorbo = 800k Tiatto = 170k Hughes = 280k Low = 120k Williams = 550k Johnson = 100k Wesolowski = 250k Porter = 200k Fryatt = 925m Hume = 1,250,000 C O Grady = 100k Hammond = 280k And Chelski only paid some 30m for Shevchenko. Mind you, he has done f.all so you could be right.
Mark Posted 18 October 2006 Share Posted 18 October 2006 I've based my values in a years time, have took into accounts players contracts expiring and judging the youngsters on the potential they are showing at the moment, certainly got some assets. Logan = £2,000,000 Douglas = Free Henderson = Free Maybury = £100,000 Stearman = £2,500,000 McAuley = £200,000 McCarthy = £750,000 Kenton = £200,000 Johansson = Free Kisnorbo = £2,000,000 Tiatto = Free Hughes = Free Low = Free Williams = Free Johnson = Free Wesolowski = Free - £1,000,000. Tough one as it all depends on his injuries. Porter = £100,000 Fryatt = £1,500,000 Hume = £1,500,000 C O Grady = Free Hammond = £250,

SystonFox Posted 19 October 2006 Share Posted 19 October 2006 Logan = 50K - but he shouldnt be for sale at his age. Douglas = 10k - can leave on a free Henderson = 100k - good keeper in this division Maybury = 200k - decent RB, not given a chance this season Stearman = 1M - you pay for prospect0 McAuley = 200k - showed he can cut it up here McCarthy = 350k - great leader Kenton = 150k - decent RB at this level N E Johansson = 200k - good CB, unsure if he is prem quality. dodgy LB Kisnorbo = 1M - best CB at the club Tiatto = 50K - hard working experience may be needed Hughes = 150k - needs to beef up and get harder, shows moments of class Low = 50k - not showed anything great yet Williams = 500k - injury plagued, but a class act. changes games Johnson = 0k - useless Wesolowski = 100k - prospect - not for sale. Porter = 100k - as above Fryatt = 1.5M - future prem player Hume = 1M - class act C O Grady = 100k - possible prospect Hammond = 300k - pace, good attitude and a bit of skill is usefull. I think Porter and Hammond can push their value a bit higher, and there's plenty would pay something for O'Grady I'd imagine. On the other hand I think you're a bit generous with Fryatt and Hume though they've certainly got the potential to be that good in 12 months. And with the likes of Odihambo, Chambers, McKay, King, Gradel, Mattock and Tommy Tejan-Sie on the horizon the club doesn't look half as bad a proposition as some would make out. Thracian Posted 19 October 2006 Share Posted 19 October 2006 As of 12 months time: Logan £2m plus add ons (Solid, reliable goalkeepers are like gold). Henderson £100,000 Stearman £2m plus add ons. (Young, fast, skillful attacking full-back) McCarthy £1.25m (committed and brave centre-back who can improve) McAuley £1.5m (As with McCarthy but can pass too) Kisnorbo £2m (As McCarthy but a good reader of the game) Sheehan £50,000 (Maybe. Sadly I don't think he'll make it or, indeed, have any real chance to make it because once Nils is away, Mattock will eclipse him). Wesolowski £1m (Still needs time to regain his best form) Porter £1.5m (Demonstrably underrated yet an industrious, competent and versatile team player). Williams £0.5m (Seems to be suffering too many injuries yet will only increase in value playing in a good team) Fryatt £1m (Young, but he still has things to prove) Hume £1.5m (Versatile, determined, energetic, good finisher) O'Grady £0.75m (Underrated yet a good contributor. Needs to work on being a more greedy finisher) Hammond £1m (Grossly underrated yet so hard to mark and so fast. Needs to work on hitting the net over the next 12 months, not just shooting but hitting the target whatever). ========= £16,000,000m plus bits...more than I thought! ============================== Takes no account of the next youngsters through: Chambers, Gradel, King, Odihambo, King, Lycett, McKay, Mattock and Tejan-Sie. Fez of Mahrez Posted 19 October 2006 Share Posted 19 October 2006 You find a club who'll pay £750,000 for Chris O'Grady and I'll show you a flying pig. And Fryatt the same price as Hammond?
Thracian Posted 19 October 2006 Share Posted 19 October 2006 You find a club who'll pay £750,000 for Chris O'Grady and I'll show you a flying pig. And Fryatt the same price as Hammond? As mentioned elsewhere I'd sooner mark Fryatt than Hammond any day. Hammond's main problem is he wants to lash every shot instead of placing it. Nothing much wrong with his shooting technique just his mental attitude to hitting the net. Fryatt's not a prolific scorer if you take away his penalties and has been okay but not prolific for us. If I were buying I'd go for Hammond first. I'd struggle to buy his pace anywhere and I could certainly buy Fryatt's seasonal goals tally. O'Grady? I like his strength, stamina and ability to hold and pass the ball. Whether he can learn to score often enough is the problem but I'd have more faith in him that either City or the City fans have shown. He's never had chance to build any confidence and it's shown to some extent. Bottom line, he's an excellent substitute in various situations so would always have a purpose. Bit of a contradiction there? Fryatt is a quality player, he may be off-form so far this season (partly due to the shocking service from our midfield) but he demonstrated both at Walsall and with us last season that with the right service, he will score and make goals. Hammond is just a speed merchant. There are hundreds of pacey forwards in League One and League Two, where Hammond belongs. If you would pay £1.75m for Hammond and O'Grady then fine. But if £1.5m could get you Hume (pace, aerial ability, finishing, energy, no little strength), then you'd be wasting your money.

Sylla for example has lousy shooting technique but Hammond can hit the ball sweetly. Trouble is he is too often inclined to blast the ball when a simple side-foot or placed shot would mean him hitting the target more often. When he blasts the ball he hits em well enough - but not always low.
