Thracian Posted 29 October 2006 Posted 29 October 2006 Which three people would you most like to meet in football today and why? I'd go: a) Robert Kelly. Cos I'd really like to hear how he thinks about the game, about team building, about the Reserves, the Academy players, the approach to training and coaching, his motivational approach and endless other things. b) Dario Gradi. He was a very close friend of Eric Worthington (he's on the net) who helped me in my first managerial role with a series of coaching days. Eric thought Gradi was brilliant and reading an article about him and Ferguson today, he just seems to epitomise everything I believe about football. I'd love to talk to him about how he spots players, what he looks out for and how he goes about developing those talents. Finally about how he keeps himself movitated. c) Steve Beaglehole. I just time for his ne-fears gootball. I'd just like to listen to his philosophies and to hear about his ambitions in the game and how far he believes he and the players in his charge can go.
Leonisco Posted 29 October 2006 Posted 29 October 2006 Dennis Wise so I could kick the little bastard's head in. Ian Holloway cos absolutely cracks me up with everything he says. I know he's not to everyone's taste but I think he's the funniest guy in football by a country mile and is never afraid to say what he really thinks. And finally, I'd definitely love to, er, 'meet' Rachel Unitt (England Women's left-back) so she could show me her "skills".

Joe. Posted 31 October 2006 Posted 31 October 2006 I've met Gary Linker and he didn't even smile all throughout him giving me his autograph. I'd still like to meet him again though I'd love to meet Pele too just because he is rated by most as the greatest player of all time.

vanfox12 Posted 4 November 2006 Posted 4 November 2006 Ive met jeff hurst but i suppose he doesnt compare to Pele. You mean Sir Geoff Hurst. Yes maybe but he's one of the few players to have scored an hat trick in a World Cup Final and that makes him immortal in my book. I met Gary Lineker and Peter Shilton but i would like to meet Gordon Banks.
