Maybes Posted 8 November 2006 Posted 8 November 2006 Hibs Have won good on them!! Couldn't care less. Scottish football is crap.
Guest Gist Posted 8 November 2006 Posted 8 November 2006 Rangers are losin 2-0 to st Johnstone and they're at home!
dandannieldanok Posted 8 November 2006 Posted 8 November 2006 Rangers are losin 2-0 to st Johnstone and they're at home! Le Guen is worse than Alex Mcleish(sp)
Lemon Harpic Posted 8 November 2006 Posted 8 November 2006 Did Graham Poll referee the Edinburgh derby?
Joe. Posted 10 November 2006 Posted 10 November 2006 Couldn't care less. Scottish football is crap. I agree. Who cares?
Manwell Pablo Posted 10 November 2006 Posted 10 November 2006 Le Guen is worse than Alex Mcleish(sp) Amazing isn't it. I thought he might of done alright there
Fez of Mahrez Posted 10 November 2006 Posted 10 November 2006 Amazing isn't it. I thought he might of done alright there I was thinking about this when I saw that St Johnstone result. Scottish football in particular seems to work in cycles and once one of the Old Firm gets in a slump, it tends to last a long time. I thought McLeish actually did pretty well to win a couple of things when O'Neill was at Celtic but I get the feeling Celtic have been dominant since 2000 whereas Rangers ruled the 1990s. Hard to see Rangers getting out of this for a while if someone with Le Guen's reputation can't turn it round. Walter Smith?
Manwell Pablo Posted 10 November 2006 Posted 10 November 2006 The thing that amazes me is, Strachen has done his best to ruin Celtic and not managed it . Kenny Miller, Adam Virgo, Paul ****en Telfer
Fez of Mahrez Posted 10 November 2006 Posted 10 November 2006 The thing that amazes me is, Strachen has done his best to ruin Celtic and not managed it . Kenny Miller, Adam Virgo, Paul ****en Telfer There's so much evidence that even average Championship players can cut it in the Old Firm.
Daggers Posted 10 November 2006 Posted 10 November 2006 Aside from religious hatred and geographical loathing there doesn't seem to be an awful lot left to Scottish football. Mad foreigners must really brighten the place up?
shen Posted 10 November 2006 Posted 10 November 2006 The thing that amazes me is, Strachen has done his best to ruin Celtic and not managed it . Kenny Miller, Adam Virgo, Paul ****en Telfer To be fair, Miller does have some quality about him.
dandannieldanok Posted 10 November 2006 Posted 10 November 2006 To be fair, Miller does have some quality about him. True, never performed consistently enough to become one of the best though.
gatesheadfox Posted 13 November 2006 Posted 13 November 2006 To be fair, Miller does have some quality about him. there's something not quite right about his face.... think its his lips or something
Manwell Pablo Posted 13 November 2006 Posted 13 November 2006 To be fair, Miller does have some quality about him. In the Championship yes. He's no Champions League player.
Stevosevic Posted 15 November 2006 Posted 15 November 2006 In the Championship yes. He's no Champions League player. hes still scoring goals in the champions league though. there are some poor sides in the champions league and celtic are one of them.
gatesheadfox Posted 15 November 2006 Posted 15 November 2006 hes still scoring goals in the champions league though. there are some poor sides in the champions league and celtic are one of them. that is one of the reasons i gave up watching the competition. its hardly champions league anymore when newcastle can qualify for it, they are champions in what sense? that they havent won anything at all since 1969? champions & runners up league may be a better name?
hibeeleicester Posted 15 November 2006 Posted 15 November 2006 Hibs Have won good on them!! Great result think might be our year for a cup the top 4 teams in scotland Old firm , Hibs and Hearts could cope with the championship easily , theres just not enough backing in scotland. And honestly leicester or just about any team cant give MAN U as good a game as celtic done. Good on them in europe , FCUK the tics when they come home. as for rangers = SHIT hearts = dont make me go there
DanTheFoxBhoy Posted 16 November 2006 Posted 16 November 2006 Hail hail Celtic sing we proudly Hail hail Celtic sing we all...
Ray- Posted 16 November 2006 Posted 16 November 2006 Couldn't care less. Scottish football is crap. Here is an alternative view to your own. http://www.hibs.net/message/showthread.php?t=59443 I happen to agree with the above thread, I remember the exciting Leicester team in the seventies, Keith Weller & Frank Worthington etc, I even remember the likes of David Nish & Alan Clarke, before they left to find success at Derby & Leeds. Having lived in the South for over 30 years & exampled both countries football, I know there is certainly more truth in he attachment than your, crap & obviously unqualified, opinion.

From reading that thread, I understand that a couple of posters believe that Charlton, Wigan, Reading, Middlesbrough and a few other premiership teams would struggle in the SPL. I know it's a Hibs forum and you might expect a certain amount of bias... but any of those would walk to 3rd or 4th in the SPL at WORST in my opinion.

The People's Hero Posted 16 November 2006 Posted 16 November 2006 The thing is... they're so defensive. No one is saying it's sh it. It's just not as good as the EPL. It speaks volumes when they are arguing against an opinion which had not previously been expressed. Defensive.
Manwell Pablo Posted 16 November 2006 Posted 16 November 2006 HAHAHAHA Quote of the year. I'm quite happy with my competitive, unpredictable SPL Yeah ok, would that be Celtic winning it every year?
