Louise Posted 15 November 2006 Posted 15 November 2006 Never rated him myself - all show and no substance Completely agree. Though he did give me the once. After La Manga. <_<
cisono Posted 15 November 2006 Posted 15 November 2006 Completely agree. Though he did give me the once. After La Manga. <_< Was that a coincidence?
FrankieWorthoYaggedMyWife Posted 15 November 2006 Posted 15 November 2006 Legend! Apparently the only one who actually got ball deep at La Manga! Retired now and plays in "legend" style games.
Milky Posted 15 November 2006 Posted 15 November 2006 he was on the phone to soccer am a while back. He likes to coach his sons football team, which i think is under 9's or something.
Filbert_Ross Posted 15 November 2006 Posted 15 November 2006 he was crap, ran over to take throw ins, gee'd up the crowd and threw it in. thats it.
Maybes Posted 15 November 2006 Posted 15 November 2006 he was crap, ran over to take throw ins, gee'd up the crowd and threw it in. thats it. and had a massive nose
Milky Posted 15 November 2006 Posted 15 November 2006 he always said hello to the academy lads though. Fair play to him on that.

Foxed Posted 15 November 2006 Posted 15 November 2006 One of the ugliest men ever to play for Leicester. I'm sure he was a nice bloke though. Average talent I'd say.

You lot make me laugh sometimes. "Average talent" the bloke played for Germany over 20 times. Average at Leicester you mean, which might have something to do with his age.

I guess we're only talking about his input into LCFC, well I am, it's of no consequence to me how he performed before or after being here - whilst he was here his contributution was inconsequential - this could also be said for many a player of that time, and one or two of the present squad but even they are no where near as expensive.

I know what most people ment it's the way this person in paticular put it, it made him sound like he had was and always had been a average player which isn't true.

Mad Dog Posted 16 November 2006 Posted 16 November 2006 Freund was good for us. You lot have no right slagging him off.
MC Prussian Posted 16 November 2006 Posted 16 November 2006 Steffen Freund currently resides in Berlin, where he started his footballing career with Stahl Brandenburg in 1989. I think he's still playing football, albeit in lower, local leagues. For most part, he does work for an event agency and does provide match commentary on a few German (sports) channels, predominantly DSF.
Strokes Posted 16 November 2006 Posted 16 November 2006 I'll never forget his face when Big Dunc gabbed him round the throat, it was piss funny.
Milky Posted 16 November 2006 Posted 16 November 2006 Nick Barmby played for England 23 times!! 'Average talent' yes, but lovely arse and hip work to get out of the way of gerrards cracker in the legendary 5-1 win in germany
Foxed Posted 16 November 2006 Posted 16 November 2006 I did indeed mean average talent for Leicester. As in-he never really left his mark for us despite his potential. I think we've had a few like that-promised a lot from previous clubs but never really delivered for us. Abadbuyii for instance--record signing! Don't make me laugh!

Leonisco Posted 16 November 2006 Posted 16 November 2006 Freund was good for us. You lot have no right slagging him off. Yes we do. It's called "having an opinion" which is what this forum is for.
