Simi Posted 17 August 2008 Author Posted 17 August 2008 I wouldn't like to say who will go down. I'm just saying it's doable for them. Yesterday proved that there are at least 2 sides just as bad as they are, so they're not going to be cast adrift at the bottom. Bolton will do no better than low midtable, though they won't go down, and they HAMMERED Stoke. Fulham got beat by Hull. If they continue to show a bit of pluck, the occasional bit of skill and get some luck their confidence will grow and it will only require one more team to have a nightmare season for them to stay up. I can see West Brom being like us in 2003/2004; decent but unlucky, going down without really being terrible. Hull have got a chance, really they do. Reading drew with United on the opening day of last season, didn't stop them being relegated. I bet they thought after that they'd be heading for another mid table finish. My point is that you can't tell much from the opening day of the season. Hull lack a goalscorer, King is way to injury prone and has never really set the world alight. When they start to struggle, I don't think they have what it takes to get out of it. They were on a high yesterday and rightly so, but when they go to the likes of Tottenham and West Ham, they'll find out that away from the top four, the quality is still very high.
Joe. Posted 17 August 2008 Posted 17 August 2008 Well I fell asleep watching this last night so I guess I'll watch tonight's instead...
Joe. Posted 17 August 2008 Posted 17 August 2008 Gutierrez is clearly just another cheating foreign willy puller.
Mikey Posted 17 August 2008 Posted 17 August 2008 Gutierrez is clearly just another cheating foreign willy puller. I agree. Fast though.
The Stig Posted 18 August 2008 Posted 18 August 2008 The sooner Adrian Chiles gets back from the Olympics the better. Ray Stubbs has the personality of a door handle.
lildave3 Posted 23 August 2008 Posted 23 August 2008 Right then, let's kick off proceedings by saying Amdy Faye is a useless tool.
lildave3 Posted 23 August 2008 Posted 23 August 2008 Stoke players clearly told to go down in the box at every oppurtunity. --- Quality from Young, good finish from Carew --- That, is actually brilliant from Fuller.
Fez of Mahrez Posted 23 August 2008 Posted 23 August 2008 How many times? Ricardo Fuller is brilliant.
sdb Posted 23 August 2008 Posted 23 August 2008 i was at the britannia today, Fuller was excellent playing up front on his own for much of the game (Kitson plays like an advanced midfielder). touch for his goal was quality! nice change to watch a quality footy match! Barry just wasn't with it however - not that it stopped him getting bonus points on fantasy footy <_<
syston_fox Posted 23 August 2008 Posted 23 August 2008 How about that bit of skill from Tuncay to set up his chance?? And what a strike from Mido!!
Fox You Forest Posted 23 August 2008 Posted 23 August 2008 Good goal from Gerrard, but i fooking hate Liverpool.
syston_fox Posted 23 August 2008 Posted 23 August 2008 Why the hell do players still remove their shirts when celebrating goals?? They know they'll get a booking for it and who exactly are they trying to impress by doing it? (Apart from tommy g)

syston_fox Posted 23 August 2008 Posted 23 August 2008 I think it's a Daggers style protest. Does it count as a sexy protest if it's Kieran Richardson?
lildave3 Posted 23 August 2008 Posted 23 August 2008 Does it count as a sexy protest if it's Kieran Richardson? Not quite sure, let's ask Tabou.
sdb Posted 24 August 2008 Posted 24 August 2008 Why? Dad's a Stoke fan so we alternate between there and the walkers. both 6 hour round journeys though
David Guiza Posted 24 August 2008 Posted 24 August 2008 How about that bit of skill from Tuncay to set up his chance??And what a strike from Mido!! That was qualitty unlucky not to score after that turn , made Carragher look like Darren Moore
lildave3 Posted 24 August 2008 Posted 24 August 2008 Mark Noble is a silly silly boy. Very foolish first yellow card, and the second wasn't very clever either.
Uncle Albert Posted 24 August 2008 Posted 24 August 2008 Deco and Ashley Cole were class today for Chelsea but they didnt play very well. West Ham lucky to be at 0-0 and Green has just kept them in it with a brilliant save, Mark Noble what a wally.
Corky Posted 25 August 2008 Posted 25 August 2008 United singing WACCOE? Controversial. It sounded different to the Leeds version from what I remember of it (the last time I saw Leeds was in 2005, and they sang it throughout the first half). I might be wrong though
