Tommeh Posted 6 January 2007 Posted 6 January 2007 Henderson - 6 Didnt have too much to do but kicking still weak MaAuley 9 - wasn't sure what to make of him at RB but he was outstanding yet again McCarthy - 6 Kisnorbo - 8 Maybury - 7 Levi - 9 had Fulham defenders crapping themselves 1st half, the sort of performance that get young players admirers from premier league clubs Williams - 8 once again showed class against superior players Tiatto - 5 didnt really do much ok first but glad when he was brought off in 2nd Hughes - 7 did well on the ball Fryatt - 8 back to himself of last season hunger, quality, and abilty to return defenders all appear to be back just needs a goal now though. Huuuuume -8 Best game in a while got stuck in well and caused their defenders problems, how he missed from 5 yards in 2nd half though only he knows! subs Weso 6 Cadermateri 8 - star of the show, scored one assisted one can't ask for more in 20mins well done Danny

lildave3 Posted 6 January 2007 Posted 6 January 2007 Henderson - 6 - Couldn't have done much about the goals imo McAuley - 8 - amazing as ever, most consisten player this season. McCarthy - 7 - Made a few good tackles Kisnorbo - 8 - Solid at the back, and another goal! Maybury - 6 - Not too sure why he played today, wouldn't have been my choice. Hughes - 6 - Rarely made runs and drifted in and out of the game Williams - 7 - another good performance, brilliant range of passing Tiatto - 6 - Put himself about Porter - 9 - Best game yet, absolutely terrorised anyone who came near him Fryatt - 9 - MOM for me, chased every ball, looks back to his old best. Hume - 7 - Looked fresh again and caused Fulham a few problems Subs: Cadamarteri - 8 - 1 assist, 1 goal, need i say more. Wesolowski - 6 - didn't really notcie him in the time he was on.
RowlattsFox Posted 6 January 2007 Posted 6 January 2007 henderson - 7 - didnt need to make many saves, shots were either wide or in the net mcauley - 8 - thought we were going to play 3-5-2 when i heard the team but i thought he did really well at right back, never scared t come forward mccarthy - 7 - some good tackles in box kisnorbo - 8 - back to his best. Maybury - 7 - did quite well but with him not beong naturally left footed it slowed our attacks down hughes - 7 - had the beating of rosenior and kept wide as much as he could williams - 7 - not great but played is part in some good passing moves tiatto - 7 - put himself about, always seemed available for a pass porter - 9 - outstanding. nuff said, MOM fryatt - 8 - thats more like it, control was excellent hume - 7 - always a threat, surprised he was taken off but credit RK subs - Cadamarteri 7 - assist and a goal, could have gambled in box on a couple of occassions though. weso - 6 - did well

Saved me some typing..Although I thought when Weso came on he battled well and won alot of 50-50's that helped set up some attacks.
Thracian Posted 6 January 2007 Posted 6 January 2007 Well it's great to see some decent ratings after the probably generous 3's and 4's of the last two matches. Henderson 6 (Nothing to say really. Couldn't see he had any real chance with the goals, unless Manwell question's his footwork/positioning for the second. ) McAuley 7 (Nice to see him try to be genuinely constructive from right back - how we've needed it - but for all his thoughtfulness he is simply too slow to be a good full-back). McCarthy 6 (Fulham always looked capable of slicing our middle open on the counter and it wasn't an easy day for him). Kisnorbo 7 (Six goals in half a season is solid stuff for a centre-back. His goal was priceless and he was his usual enthusiastic self in other phases). Maybury 6.5 (He did try to work with Levi but his control was so unreliable. He never looks happy on the left to me). Hughes 7.5 (As good as I've seen from him for 90 minutes. Worked hard to get forward and tried properly to track back. He's not a right winger but that was far better than anything else we've had this season.) Williams 6.5 (No lack of effort but errors galore. Still overhits his free kicks, takes too long to make his passes Tiatto 5.5 (Another part-time contribution which had limited effect. There's really no place for Hughes and Tiatto in the same side as I've said so many times) Porter 9 (Back to his principally attacking role. Yes he helped out in defence but he was back today making width, attacking the opposition and creating havoc. Great assist for the equaliser, always available for the likes of Hume, varied his ideas up front. Smashing). Hume 7 (Worked so hard. Seemed to love being involved with our footballing approach. Sadly his finishing again failed to match his general contribution). Fryatt 6.5 (Looks fit again which was a plus. But once again failed to take relatively simple chances and seemed unwilling to use better placed team-mates). Subs: Wesolowski 5.5 (Cannot remember anything of noteone way or the other). Cadamarteri 9 (How good a 20 minutes can a guy have. One goal one assist. I'm tempted to say Levi was MoM because he did a full 90 minutes but in the end I believe they were jointly MoM and it must be a long, long time since Danny would have made such an impact on a game. Really pleased for him and the effortless way he seemed to cog in with his team-mates).
Bert Posted 6 January 2007 Posted 6 January 2007 Hendo 6 - No chance with either goal. McAuley 8 - What a buy. Absolutly first class, even out of position. Maybury 6 - Hmmm. He wern't crap, but wern't great. Kisnorbo 8 - Played well against one of the most under-rated strikeforces in England, nice header for the goal to. McCarthy 7 - As above but without the goal. Hughes - 7 Some neat skill and touches. Porter - 9 MOTM. great passing, touch and runs, assist. Williams - 7 Neat passing with hard work. Tiatto - 7 As Above Hume 7 - Worked hard, missed a good chance. Fryatt 8 - Getting back to his best. Cadamarteri - 8 Assist and a goal. Jimbo - 7 Well stuck inin the time he had.
Stuliasz Posted 6 January 2007 Posted 6 January 2007 Henderson 7 - Did well, his kicking was generally better today despite being put under needless pressure on a few occasions McAuley 8 - Just rarely has a poor game today and adapted to a position that didn't really suit him brilliantly Maybury 6 - Lacks the ability to know how to effectively distribute the ball. In the league he hoofs it, in the cup he keeps it on the floor but passes it backwards. One or two very good passes for Porter in the second half though. McCarthy 7 - A few good last ditch challenges but overused his arms to tug shirts dangerously once or twice Kisnorbo 8 - Solid as ever and came on to the ball brilliantly for his headed goal Hughes 7.5 - Flashes of inspiration and a few of his shots would have been on target had they not been blocked Porter 9 - Absolutely tremendous display. If the coaching staff take good care of him, he's going to be one hell of a player Tiatto 8 - Played his role very well today. First touch let him down on a few occasions but won possession back enough to make up for it. Hume 7.5 - Dropped back to link up play with the midfield effectively and was unlucky not to score when he dropped his shoulder to open up the space Fryatt 8.5 - Best he's played for some time because he came back and got himself involved rather than sticking on the shoulder of the last man and spending the entire game offside. Wesolowski 7 - Did his job when he came on Cadamarteri 8.5 - Can't argue with the results, changed the game by setting up the first with a sublime cross and an excellent strike for the equaliser in injury time. Had he missed I'm sure many people on this board would have been on his back by now. An excellent team display overall and Kelly made a brave decision to take off Hume with 15 minutes to go at 1-0 down but it paid off. The replay is going to be a different proposition altogether but at least they have given a good account of themselves and deserve the plaudits today.
DaveyJ Posted 6 January 2007 Posted 6 January 2007 Can't disagree with most of those ratings. I thought Tiatto was good today. He plays that role well, and the times that we did pass the ball around he was there providing an option alowing us to pass the ball out of defence and building far better attacks. I thought Levi was great, really got at the Fulham defence. I had a good view of him in the second half, and I think he could have taken his defender on more. As shown with the equaliser he certainly has the quality to go round full backs, but I just felt at times he lacked a bit of confidence.
Milky Posted 6 January 2007 Posted 6 January 2007 Does no one else feel Fulham had far too much joy in behind McAuley in the first half especially. If you're going to play the 3 centre backs I'd have much rather had him at centre back with paddy mac at right back.
Bert Posted 6 January 2007 Posted 6 January 2007 Does no one else feel Fulham had far too much joy in behind McAuley in the first half especially. If you're going to play the 3 centre backs I'd have much rather had him at centre back with paddy mac at right back. Yes. Paddy is much quicker as well.
Yaxx Posted 6 January 2007 Posted 6 January 2007 Kelly - 8 - Much better decision making and tactics today. Hopefully he'll learn from this and stick with 4-4-2. Henderson - 6 - Very shakey compared to his commanding performance against Sunderland. No chance with the goals though. McAuley - 9 - Another great performance and I loved his marauding runs through the Fulham midfield, even if it did cause a few hearstopping moments in defence. McCarthy - 7 - A solid, sensible, display for a change. Kept his head and played all the better for it. Kisnorbo - 9 - Back to his best with an excellent performance that was crowned by a superbly taken goal. Maybury - 5 - The weakest link once again. Where the hell is Johansson?? Porter - 9 - MOTM. Gave their RB a torrid time and produced his best display for the club by far. Outstanding. Williams - 7.5 - Had his thinking head on today. Tiatto - 7 - Was here there and everywhere as usual. He definately gives us a competitive edge in midfiled. Hughes - 7 - The best I've seen him play. However, having said that, he still drifted out of the game for long periods. Fryatt - 7.5 - Much much better. Hopefully this will give him the confidence he needs to get right back on form. Huuuuume - 7.5 - Worked as hard as ever and eventually seemed to just run out of steam. A startling miss from 5 yards though. Subs Weso - 6 - Little to remember Cadermateri - 8 - Made exactly the kind of impact you'd want from a sub. Great finish. Great performance. Officials - 0 - As awful as ever. Somebody was blatently taking the piss by appointing Clattenburg as the ref.

If you're going to play the 3 centre backs I'd have much rather had him at centre back with paddy mac at right back. That's a good point Milky Joe. I wouldn't have been surprised to see Fulham really attack that area second half because it definitely looked vulnerable to me. And yet, collectively Leicester seemed to have a much better flow than usual today and McAuley contributed to that. Whether McCarthy could be nearly as creative from right back I have serious doubts.

potter3 Posted 6 January 2007 Posted 6 January 2007 Henderson - 6 - Couldn't really help the goals McAuley - 8 - Was really good, especially attacking, considering he's a centre-back McCarthy - 7 - Made a few good tackles Kisnorbo - 8 - Good performance, and another goal Maybury - 7 - Looked better than he normally does at left-back, supported attacks well Hughes - 6 - Did nothing much Williams - 7 - Decent, some passing went astray though. Tiatto - 6 - Ineffective Porter - 9 - MotM - Brilliant game, terrorised the Fulham defenders all game, absolute brilliance to set up the second goal. Fryatt - 8 - Played like he did last seqason, always harrying defenders Hume - 7 - Pretty good, missed an absolute sitter though. Subs: Cadamarteri - 8 - An assist and a goal, perhaps he is an impact sub. Wesolowski - 7 - Battled well in midfield. *But when I looked (had a sneak preview ) The players chosen looked better suited to a 3-5-2 Henderson McAuley- Kisnorbo -McCarthyMaybury----------------------------------- TiattoHughes Williams PorterFryatt -----------Hume
LCFCIMPS Posted 6 January 2007 Posted 6 January 2007 Great to see McAuley played well. KA did play him at right-back for us most games,he played well where ever he played. McAuley McAuley

lcfc_forever Posted 6 January 2007 Posted 6 January 2007 Henderson 7 - No mistakes. He did everything that was asked of him. McAuley 8 - Played well in an unfamiliar right-back position. Just worried on a couple of occasions that he moved too centrally, leaving space on the right and his lack of pace could be exposed. However, his distribution was excellent and looked composed on the ball. Kisnorbo 8 - Scored a goal and played well again. McCarthy 7 - Played well but McAuley is a more assured centre-half. Maybury 7 - Would have given him 8 but when we needed to get the ball forward late on, he kept passing the ball backwards and on occasion gave the ball away. Yet some of that has to do with being right-footed and playing left-back. Defensively sound Hughes 7.5 - Played brilliantly in the first half but drifted out of the game a little in the second. Tiatto 7.5 - Played well and pressured the Fulham players well. Tired towards the end and Weso was rightly brought on. Williams 7 - Passed the ball well and actually put a couple of tackles in. Porter 8.5 - Looked dangerous whenever he was on the ball. A very good performance. Hume 7 - Worked hard, showed some nice touches but missed that sitter. Fryatt 7 - Getting back to his best and looks sharper by the minute. Subs: Cadamarteri 8 - Scored a goal and set up a goal. Inspired performance and inspired susbtitution by Kelly than many of us fans questioned. Wesolowski 7 - Did well in the few minutes he had to make an impact. The referee was poor, giving free kicks for any physical contact while the linesman close to the East Stand was diabolical - he gave every decision Fulham's way. Well done City!
