Craig Posted 8 January 2007 Posted 8 January 2007 Ok my three draws are: Stoke v Peterborough/Plymouth Blackburn v Bristol Rovers Leicester/Fulham v West Ham See if any of them actually happen. Your predictions?
Brummie-FOX Posted 8 January 2007 Posted 8 January 2007 Didn't Middlesboro make the FA cup final and lose as well as the previously mentioned Southampton V Arsenal! In any case, this just backs up my point, I said it was not impossible! not likely. This thread is about who you'd like to play in the next round, and I would always take the lowest ranked side left in the competition. I cant remember if Middlesbrough got to the final, but they lost in the semi-final to West Ham last year. If you want the lowest ranked team, then you better hope that Chester beat Ipswich at Portman Road.
Manwell Pablo Posted 8 January 2007 Posted 8 January 2007 I cant remember if Middlesbrough got to the final, but they lost in the semi-final to West Ham last year. If you want the lowest ranked team, then you better hope that Chester beat Ipswich at Portman Road. Taking the fact that in not going to happen into accound I'll take Bristol Rovers Boro mid make the final they were beat by Pre Roman Chelsea who were nothing special either, I reckon they got relegated the same year.
Brummie-FOX Posted 8 January 2007 Posted 8 January 2007 1989 Liverpool Everton 3-2 aet 1990 Manchester United Crystal Palace 3-3 aet replay Manchester United Crystal Palace 1-0 1991 Tottenham Hotspur Nottingham Forest 2-1 aet 1992 Liverpool Sunderland 2-0 1993 Arsenal Sheffield Wednesday 1-1 aet replay Arsenal Sheffield Wednesday 2-1 aet 1994 Manchester United Chelsea 4-0 1995 Everton Manchester United 1-0 1996 Manchester United Liverpool 1-0 1997 Chelsea Middlesbrough 2-0 1998 Arsenal Newcastle United 2-0 1999 Manchester United Newcastle United 2-0 2000 Chelsea Aston Villa 1-0 2001 Liverpool Arsenal 2-1 2002 Arsenal Chelsea 2-0 2003 Arsenal Southampton 1-0 2004 Manchester United Millwall 3-0 2005 Arsenal Manchester United 0-0 aet Arsenal win 5-4 on penalties 2006 Liverpool West Ham United 3-3 aet Liverpool win 3-1 on penalties
Brummie-FOX Posted 8 January 2007 Posted 8 January 2007 The good thing is if we get Chelsea/Man Utd, we'll get the publicity. If we get Bristol Rovers/Swansea, we'll probably be through to the next round.
lookwhaticando Posted 8 January 2007 Posted 8 January 2007 Nuts to the 'bigger clubs' for now. Progression is key. Progress now and we'll end up with a big club soon enough. We just have to do things properly - and take the opposition seriously.
foxes_fan Posted 8 January 2007 Posted 8 January 2007 My predictions Watford v Blackburn Rovers Southend United or Barnsley v Manchester United Swansea City v Peterborough United or Plymouth Argyle Portsmouth v Chelsea West Bromwich Albion v Reading or Burnley Bristol Rovers v Derby County Norwich City v Hull City or Middlesbrough Bolton Wanderers v Southampton Chester City or Ipswich Town v Nottingham Forest Stoke City v Birmingham City or Newcastle United Arsenal v Cardiff City or Tottenham Hotspur Crystal Palace v Sheffield Wednesday or Manchester City Preston North End v Leicester City or Fulham Barnet or Colchester United v West Ham United Queens Park Rangers or Luton Town v Bristol City or Coventry City Wolverhampton Wanderers or Oldham Athletic v Blackpool
He's not bald Posted 8 January 2007 Posted 8 January 2007 Only 6 teams have won the FA Cup since 1989 I heard yesterday, or at least I think that was the date. Doesn't really show any of the ' shite ' teams doing anything special in the final . I can only think of Millwall, and maybe Aston Villa who have somehow found themselves at Wembley/The MS. Don't forget the shite at the bottom of the M69!
Brummie-FOX Posted 8 January 2007 Posted 8 January 2007 I know I did it but im not too sure how you can predict a cup draw
Head Honcho Posted 8 January 2007 Posted 8 January 2007 Like it! Good incentive to get through. A Home draw against one of our peers.
Brummie-FOX Posted 8 January 2007 Posted 8 January 2007 This will be boring. Chance we'll get beaten anyway (by Stoke)
