Matt Posted 8 January 2005 Posted 8 January 2005 I know we didn't lose today but i've got used to losing/drawing now, I don't know whether its because i've grown up or because I am actually used to losing, Last season and every other season when Leicester lost I would slam doors, have a go at everyone in sight, e.t.c. But since the start of the seaso havn't really done that at all, I have been slaggin Leicester off but I havn't been too bad, I just laugh and take the piss out of thee club or the players. Ok we drew today but we were so close to losing. -When we lose I take the piss out of the club or the players -When we draw I take the piss out of the club or the players -When we won last season and every other season I was extatic, now I just think great...we'll probably lose the next game anyway! I do actually feel quite bad about Leicester, yes I love the club and I would never turn my back on the club, but at the moment, I just don't have feelings about thee club! Before whether we had lost, drew, won I would feel so strongly about Leicester but at the moment I just don't really care. This sounds horrible but sometimes getting up on a saturday and going to the Walkers Stadium feels like a such an effort just recently! Years ago I never have said any of this... -And no i'm not a glory supporter! So is it just me or do other people feel the same way?

Anish Posted 8 January 2005 Posted 8 January 2005 I feel the same way Matt - when we lose I don't get as grumpy as I used to, because now I have got used to the losing feeling and half the time I expect us to lose. I also don't get as excited when we score (and Im listening to the commentary on the radio) as I used to a couple of years ago. Before I used to jump up and down and wave my arms around when we scored (only when I was listening to the game at home, mind! ) - but now I just think 'great' and carry on as normal.

We as Leicester fans have got used to so much crap happening this these last 18 months that we are almost immune to anything!
shen Posted 8 January 2005 Posted 8 January 2005 'supporting' from afar, it has been a quite dim year to support Leicester There's hardly anything to cheer about and the renewed optimism at the start of last season and this season has vanished into thin air.. We've become what we've all feared...a mediocre div 1 team still.. deep down I hope that we're going to come back roaring, whether it'll be this year (unlikely) or next.
filbertway Posted 8 January 2005 Posted 8 January 2005 We will rebuild a team that will last longer than a year, and we will be back!!!!! Keep the er er

My Wolves supporting housemate has been feeling like it all season also, but I think its just so boring and no entertainment that you give up caring to the same extent.

My Wolves supporting housemate has been feeling like it all season also, but I think its just so boring and no entertainment that you give up caring to the same extent. 53016[/snapback] The atmosphere is what annoys me. There's absolutely no atmosphere in the ground. I know that the away fans are louder than the home fans at most grounds, as are the Leicester fans when we go away, but today their fans were depressingly louder than us. Now I know it was their cup final and all that but we should've drummed up some kind of response to their almost constant singing. L1 tried but there's just not enough of them to counter anything the away fans sing and also there was about five or six thrown out today. The first three looked like 12 year old chavs. I couldn't hear the Kop sing apart from the occasional outburst and the West stand was like the West stand always is. I know it was very empty today but I'm refering to other games too. I sit near the away fans in the family stand right next to N block and there was about six of us singing. I go and I want to sing but when I do I get people turning around and staring at me like I'm doing something wrong or I'm disturbing their viewing. I don't know where to move to next season because the Kop doesn't look or sound much better and I like to be near the away fans. L1 seems like the only other option but from where I sit it does seem like if you're not of a certain age or wearing a certain style of clothing then you would be treated as a bit of an outcast. I'll probably end up staying where I am but if things don't improve on the pitch between now and the end of the season we'll be getting even smaller attendances and even less people to sing with.

But er Now I know it was their cup final I can't understand that statement ok currently Leicester are a bigger club but come on Blackpool coming to Leicester...Lets not flatter ourselves by making too many statements like that!
Jonbluefox9 Posted 9 January 2005 Posted 9 January 2005 QUOTE(jonbluefox9)Now I know it was their cup final I can't understand that statement ok currently Leicester are a bigger club but come on Blackpool coming to Leicester...Lets not flatter ourselves by making too many statements like that! I thought I'd say that because if I didn't then someone else would. They'd say 'well they were bound to be louder than us 'cos it was their cup final' so I thought I'd say why that's a poor reason for us not making any atmosphere before they even came up with that as an excuse. Maybe I'm being a bit judgemental and no-one would've even thought of using that as a reason why our fans were shit.
Macca4lcfc Posted 9 January 2005 Posted 9 January 2005 no offence, but why are yo lot such moanin whingin people. i want to say worse but I will get banned! I t must be so hard for you to have to pay some of the cheapest prices to watch a team that was in the premiership last season and only wins enough ames to hve a chance of mking the play offs. I do not kno how you make it through life. And having to sit in a £30 million stadium wth great facilities must make i even harder. im sure if we all stick together though we can pull through these rough times. By the way, maybe if more people spent more time singing and gettin right behind the team instead of moaning, we might actually find that little something to turn losses into draws and draws into wins.

Fans from all clubs, big or small, all moan about their own side.
Macca4lcfc Posted 9 January 2005 Posted 9 January 2005 they may well moan, but the difference is they will sing their hearts out and ge right behind thelads on a saturday.
Matt Posted 22 January 2005 Author Posted 22 January 2005 I'm not getting to excited but some feeling, passion, and satisfaction is finally coming back, today I didn't go to the game because i'm looking after my mum who is recovering from an op, but it sounded a good game today, it sounded like the players actually wanted to play and win today! Today although I didn't go to the game for the first time in weeks I feel proud again! Consistancy is finally coming from Connolly, and possibly Consistancy is finally coming to Leicester, I know we have on won 2 in a row but I think we might be up and running...I hope anyway!
Scarby Posted 22 January 2005 Posted 22 January 2005 Before we all got pissed of cos we lost three points which meant something. Now in the position that we are in we arent really fighting for anything, i cant really see us getting relagated can you?? and i think the playoffs are to far off now!! Its a shame but that is why i think we arent bothered!!
