uncle_connolly Posted 9 January 2007 Posted 9 January 2007 Colchester Clash Sold OutThe travelling Blue Army will be out in force at Layer Road on Saturday after the final tickets for the Colchester game we snapped up on Tuesday morning. Over a thousand City fans will be making the trip to Essex for the Championship clash - as the Foxes look to raid the Layer Road fortress. The U's go into the fixture having won their last 11 games at home - a run which stretches back to last August. But the Foxes will be going into the game full of confidence having put in a magnificent performance to gain a 2-2 draw with Fulham in the FA Cup third round at the Walkers Stadium last weekend. Assistant manager Mike Stowell said: "It really is a tremendous effort from our supporters. They have been brilliant all season and I am sure that they will make themselves heard at Layer Road this weekend. "We are under no illusions - we know that it will be a tough game. But we will be giving it our all and hopefully, with the backing of the fans, we can get the right result on the day." Tickets remain on general sale for City's upcoming Championship clash against Birmingham City on Saturday, January 20 (5:15pm). Cant wait for this one. Forget whats happened before, whats going on now, just come together and sing your hearts out for the existance of Leicester City Football Club. Thank you.
James. Posted 9 January 2007 Posted 9 January 2007 yeah, this one should be quality. excellent turn out, and am looking forward to a great old school atmosphere on the terraces.
Geo V Posted 9 January 2007 Posted 9 January 2007 yeah, this one should be quality. excellent turn out, and am looking forward to a great old school atmosphere on the terraces. you will get that. Terrible stadium but at least the local area is full of blond bimbo`s. Just make sure you have enough cash to buy each one a wine spritzer and a bag or pork scratchings and you are in!
Muz Posted 9 January 2007 Posted 9 January 2007 If we are to get anything we need every single player to dig deep. That does'nt mean just swanning around the pitch ala Williams

Maybes Posted 9 January 2007 Posted 9 January 2007 great stuff. Standing games always seem to create a better atmosphere.
Joe. Posted 9 January 2007 Posted 9 January 2007 Everyone seems to be up for this one and I think it should be pretty good. I reckon we can sneak a win. Their run has to come to an end sometime. I think it will be us that stops them. Let's hope so.

Frenzied Posted 9 January 2007 Posted 9 January 2007 Can't wait for this one. This will be the first time I've stood on the terraces since we beat Stoke 1-0 in the Play-Off semi under O'Neill. Although I doubt Saturday will live up to that.

Frenzied Posted 9 January 2007 Posted 9 January 2007 This will be the first time on terraces for me Hopefully be like the old days. Even at places like Port Vale when its p*ssed it down on uncovered terraces, the banter and atmosphere was good.

Thracian Posted 10 January 2007 Posted 10 January 2007 I'm out of this one with having to take kids to airports but will probably go to see the Academy side at Milton Keynes Dons. It should be quite an experience at Colchester with such a small ground but I've every faith we can win. Hope you all have a great day.
DB11 Posted 10 January 2007 Posted 10 January 2007 Well Colchester sold out shouldn't hard 'eh Also, they lost 2-1 to Barnet so hopefully they'll be feeling down . Anyway, come on City, you can do it!
