Silly Fox Posted 11 January 2007 Posted 11 January 2007 I am in France with work and had the misfortune to watch Lazio vs Benfica in the Dubai Cup. Truly dreadul considering it was a 'final'. Neither side showed any desire and I've seen more competitive Sunday League matches......... makes me wonder why I watched 85 mins of it! Has anyone seen a really bad match before, either live or on the TV, but carried on watching it in the hope that it got better? Would be good to know if this was the case for Friendly or non-competitve matches
AyewJoking Posted 11 January 2007 Posted 11 January 2007 Norway v England 0-0. Think it was a friendly back in the nineties literally had me bored to tears.
Ric Flair Posted 11 January 2007 Posted 11 January 2007 I remember going to watch Villa v Sheffield Wed back in the early 90's when Leicester were either not playing or were away from home and my mate had a spare ticket. Horrible game, think it was either 0-0 or 1-0 to Sheff Wed. I spent the last 20 minutes sitting in the cubicle trying to pinch one out for something to do.
Manwell Pablo Posted 11 January 2007 Posted 11 January 2007 As I'm going to watch Villa Watford next week im trying to keep an open mind.
Geo V Posted 11 January 2007 Posted 11 January 2007 Years ago now and it was a surreal experience. A mate asked me to take a free ticket to watch Arsenal so I went along to see how the big boys do it. The fact that the game ended 0-0 but quite a few fans seemed to be cheering for nothing was crazy, until my mate pointed out that sitting opposite us was that crazy "wall" of painted fans !! It was hilarious! It was also the first time I had heard of so many cockney dudes shouting together, words like "waaaaaaaaaaaaaaannnnnggggggggggggger" and until it was translated, I didnt know what the word meant. It was a terrible experience that no one should have to sit through.
Joe. Posted 11 January 2007 Posted 11 January 2007 Spain 0-0 England By far the worst game ever. Shockingly bad. <_<
Guest seanfox778 Posted 11 January 2007 Posted 11 January 2007 any match broadcasted on C5 agree they are always shite. except for the boro uefa games last year they might of been on itv4 though
Flynny Posted 11 January 2007 Posted 11 January 2007 Arsenal/Man U in either the league or FA cup a year or two ago. There was a goal after about a minute and then followed 90 minutes of dross. It was all kids anyway.
Simon Posted 11 January 2007 Posted 11 January 2007 Cambridge V Oxford a couple of years back when both were right down the bottom of League Two. Horrible, freezing cold day. Dire Dire DIRE game.
syston_fox Posted 11 January 2007 Posted 11 January 2007 Maritimo v East Bengal in that pepsi max tournament was pretty bad!
Daggers Posted 11 January 2007 Posted 11 January 2007 shouldn't this be in the general sport forum? Yes
bigneville Posted 12 January 2007 Posted 12 January 2007 As I'm going to watch Villa Watford next week im trying to keep an open mind. At Villa Park Manwell? Welcome to my world if so....
Manwell Pablo Posted 12 January 2007 Posted 12 January 2007 At Villa Park Manwell? Welcome to my world if so.... yep, 18 quid! not bad.
dandannieldanok Posted 12 January 2007 Posted 12 January 2007 I went to Meadow Lane about 3/4 years ago. The game ended in a 1-0 success for Notts County against Cheltenham. The game was very poor, terrible infact, but we sat amongst the cheltenham fans who came up in huge numbers. Unfortunately, it was the last game of the season and the result relegated them. Cheltenhamshire la la la
Leonisco Posted 12 January 2007 Posted 12 January 2007 Went to see Forest v Arsenal at the City Ground with my dad a few years ago. Martin Keown scored the winner. Says it all really.
Daggers Posted 12 January 2007 Posted 12 January 2007 Leyton Orient 0 - 0 Darlington, sometime in the Nineties At about ten minutes past three, I lost the will to breath.
