Daggers Posted 13 January 2007 Posted 13 January 2007 Fire away...oops, obviously I didn't mean Kelly
cisono Posted 13 January 2007 Posted 13 January 2007 As we were saying, a replay would not be unwarranted. The referee was a joke!
City_4_Life Posted 13 January 2007 Posted 13 January 2007 The ref was a joke, and i agree with what Gerry said "We've been robbed!".
TAFKA Castroneves Posted 13 January 2007 Posted 13 January 2007 Tragedy, we needed the three points and overall deserved them. Absolute bollocks.
Leicfox Posted 13 January 2007 Posted 13 January 2007 Tragidy, we needed the three points and overall deserved them. Absolute bollocks. That said atleast we never lost. And for that im STILL a Leicester fan for another week.
cisono Posted 13 January 2007 Posted 13 January 2007 Tragidy, we needed the three points and overall deserved them. Absolute bollocks. Once we deserve the points - and we even scored reflecting our superiority - we end up not winning through no fault of our own. Totally undeservedly so...
lookwhaticando Posted 13 January 2007 Posted 13 January 2007 Seriously disgruntled. We did enough to win the game - until Mr U. Ref decided he wanted a piece of the action and started dancing around like a fooking ballerina, graciously throwing cards about the place like plates at a Greek wedding. We should complain to the FA about the standard of ref we get lumped with.
Thracian Posted 13 January 2007 Posted 13 January 2007 Appalling. The referee should be made to pay the 6,500 fans their £20's back. How to ruin a game single-handedly. And the ref did this, the ref did that.. Layer Road casino.... what would you like, sir? Twist or stick. One card or two!. Sorry, sir. No more bets.

Simi Posted 13 January 2007 Posted 13 January 2007 The FA act on their own. Replay impossible usually but reprimanding of referee is likely Kelly is more likely to get fined than the ref the FA are likely to back there employees.
lookwhaticando Posted 13 January 2007 Posted 13 January 2007 We actually had more shots, most of them on target. Goal Attempts 8 : 14 Goal Attempts On Target 1 : 9 On Target Crosses 11 : 10 Crosses Corners 2 : 4 Corners Offside 4 : 1 Offside Fouls 12 : 19 Fouls Free kicks 20 : 18 Free kicks Yellow cards 3 : 4 Yellow cards Red cards - : - Red cards % Possession 49 : 51 Possession % Just shows you how badly that penalty fooked us up. They had one single shot on target - the penalty! Outrageous.
lcfc_jme Posted 13 January 2007 Posted 13 January 2007 Twat. The ref cost us a deserved and much needed 3 points there. What a complete nobwand. This is the sort of bollocks that might make Kelly go back to playing defensively away from home. His thoughts may be: "Well we attacked, 'scored' 3, controlled the game and deserved to win, yet we still didn't. Maybe if we try to attack too much or we're in control of the game away from home, the ref may stop us from winning? Back to the old tactics"
lookwhaticando Posted 13 January 2007 Posted 13 January 2007 Kelly is more likely to get fined than the ref the FA are likely to back there employees. RK's too nice to say something provocative. He should live dangerously for a day and give that ref the bashing he so rightly deserves. Cnut!

We should complain to the FA about the standard of ref we get lumped with. Oi, Im Greek and we dont break plates at weddings!!!!!!!! Anyway, I said it on the ref thread. We played well, hit the target 9 times and they only hit the target once (73rd min). They got a dodgy peno and were getting home decisions. We should be proud of our lads as thats the first time they have dropped points at home in 12 games.

Simi Posted 13 January 2007 Posted 13 January 2007 RK's too nice to say something provocative. He should live dangerously for a day and give that ref the bashing he so rightly deserves. Cnut! Mike Stowell is more than likely to say something out of turn I suppose.
Foxhateram Posted 13 January 2007 Posted 13 January 2007 foul? um i dont think so!!!! High foot and a penalty to use i think so. Ref said play on!
cisono Posted 13 January 2007 Posted 13 January 2007 Fire away...oops, obviously I didn't mean Kelly is that what they call a "late joke"?
Flynny Posted 13 January 2007 Posted 13 January 2007 We were robbed of two points, of course, but we can be pleased with the way we approached the game and the way the players appeared to be motivated against a side that's the opposite end of the table to them.
lcfc_jme Posted 13 January 2007 Posted 13 January 2007 Mike Stowell is more than likely to say something out of turn I suppose. Then let Stowell take charge of the post-match interview. Nothing will ever be looked into or changed unless something is said, and lets face it, Kelly will not say anything too serious about the ref will he?

Hmm that puts such a positive spin on today's game
Simi Posted 13 January 2007 Posted 13 January 2007 Still gutted ! What a good 3 points that would of bin. Great confidence booster going away to Fulham on Wednesday.
Cobbo Posted 13 January 2007 Posted 13 January 2007 On a positive note - Colchester had won 11 games in a row at home and we managed to end it.
Jonbluefox9 Posted 13 January 2007 Posted 13 January 2007 Sheephead who was at the match: We played well, deserved the lead, couldn't see the penalty decision, but ref was truly shit. Very good support and a good day out. Probably 2 points lost rather than a point gained though!
