He's not bald Posted 9 February 2007 Posted 9 February 2007 anyone remember Tom English? Name rings a bell but it's buried in the mists of time...probably mid 80's?
Lineker's Dodgy Toe Posted 9 February 2007 Posted 9 February 2007 i'm going to stick up for akinbiyi, yes his finishing was woeful but he still managed 11 goals in the premiership that season. i might be wrong but i dont remember many leicester strikers scoring more than that in any season we were in the prem. he wasnt worth 5m but that wasnt his fault. considering some of the shite we have now, he is nowhere near the worst player we have had. agree about lee marshall, has he played for anyone else apart from us? Ian Marshall's career
Fez of Mahrez Posted 9 February 2007 Posted 9 February 2007 If I was King, which thankfully for the population of England I'm not, anyone who ever got Lee Marshall and Ian Marshall mixed up would be sent to the electric chair. Lucky escape for you sonny.
Guest Gist Posted 9 February 2007 Posted 9 February 2007 Since I've been going down City, it has to be Low and Johnson.
Webbo Posted 9 February 2007 Posted 9 February 2007 Name rings a bell but it's buried in the mists of time...probably mid 80's? totally crap, made worst by the fact that Milne swapped Jim Melrose for him.
Kilworthfox Posted 9 February 2007 Author Posted 9 February 2007 Ian Marshall's career Tut Tut Tut Ian Marshall article worth a read!
Head Honcho Posted 9 February 2007 Posted 9 February 2007 i'm going to stick up for akinbiyi, yes his finishing was woeful but he still managed 11 goals in the premiership that season. i might be wrong but i dont remember many leicester strikers scoring more than that in any season we were in the prem. he wasnt worth 5m but that wasnt his fault. considering some of the shite we have now, he is nowhere near the worst player we have had. agree about lee marshall, has he played for anyone else apart from us? We paid £2m for Arnar and he was much worse then Ade
hebangsthedrums Posted 9 February 2007 Posted 9 February 2007 I will discount the last 6 years as we have had so many useless w@nkers I can't be arsed to pick a 'favourite'. My worst would be fenton as i had such high hopes as me and my dad thought he looked really good for villa. Plus MON hinted he was happy to get fat and collect his wad rather than go on loan to get himself fit which always pisses me off.
hebangsthedrums Posted 9 February 2007 Posted 9 February 2007 We paid £2m for Arnar and he was much worse then Ade I'm sorry I cant believe anyone who had seen the two play more than a couple of games apiece could say that, akinbiyi was beyond shite. Plus Arnie was the penalty king
Solihullfox Posted 9 February 2007 Posted 9 February 2007 anyone remember Tom English? The bloke plumbed new depths. We effectively did a swap deal (if the mists of time haven't addled me brain) for him and gave Jimmy Melrose to Coventry for the privelege of watching that prat play for us. To this day I have to say to my Dad "stop defending him (ie. Junior Lewis, Josh Low etc.) he's as crap as Tommy English and you used to try and convince me he was going to come good for us " My mate Claymore and I went to watch Cov v Spurs about 3 months after the swap deal (our match was off and we were bored) during which time Tommy hadn't scored and the great Jimmy Melrose was banging them in. The Cov fans we were speaking to were p*ssing themselves laughing at Leicester for the transfer. Definately up their with Junior,Ade and Josh.
