Has to be Akinbiyi for me.

Also value for money wise, Matt Jones wasn't the greatest because he was injured for long spells which was no fault of his own.

Kjetil Oswald from Norway in 1987 - can someone please remember him and Jari Rantanen - as we had Oswald on loan. Never liked David Langan or Robbie James either. I'm thinking of players as far back as I can !!

Jari was a legend....great bloke scored 4 goals in 14 games. Better than most!!!

ie. Hammond

lee marshall always looked like he was 'running' through treacle

kevin pressman seemed to do everthing in slo-mo while the game carried on in realtime

alan rogers obviously we only thought he was shite because he'd played for forest.......err no it because he was tank wank

grahem fenton, did he ever actually play?

craig hignett <_<

i reckon akinbiyi gets a rough deal.........:whistle:

edit:

At least some of this mob looked out-of-depth in the Premiership. It's the ones that never even looked remotely like second-tier players that you want to focus on. And if you're too young to remember the last time we were in this division with a load of shit players, that means the likes of Chris O'Grady and Josh Low.

that'll be the pleat era then, but the thing with that is, as paul ramsey said in the fox, the team wsn't that bad, pleat insisted on playing people in the wrong position (jimmy quinn in midfield)

I was only 6 but I remember thinking Tony Spearing was ****ing rubbish. :P

Tont Spearing.

Playing a rampant Newcastle at home was bad enough but at the old Filbo I was standing in Penn 3 I think and within arms length of the Geordies. Not only were they playing well but they were all laughing hysterically everytime the useless tosspot went anywhere near the ball.

I`ll never forgive Tony for that.

indeed he was, and nicky mohan. but pleat, of course, had no/not much brass.

Nicky Mohan was much later than Pleat! Brian Little bought him.

there was a player like spearing that pleat had, i thought it was mohan.............. i need to eat more fish

i'm going to stick up for akinbiyi, yes his finishing was woeful but he still managed 11 goals in the premiership that season. i might be wrong but i dont remember many leicester strikers scoring more than that in any season we were in the prem. he wasnt worth 5m but that wasnt his fault. considering some of the shite we have now, he is nowhere near the worst player we have had.

agree about lee marshall, has he played for anyone else apart from us? :dunno:
