Toby or not Toby Posted 23 February 2007 Posted 23 February 2007 think this is a good decision, hes another body and isn't useless, he puts more effort in than gareth williams

Basingstoke Fox Posted 23 February 2007 Posted 23 February 2007 I am personaly happy with this and he will get better as time goes on. We have needed someone to drive our midfield forward and so for me its good news
Milky Posted 23 February 2007 Posted 23 February 2007 It's good he's staying, but if we are serious about a promotion challenge next season we'll need a better centre mid than jarret.
Toby or not Toby Posted 23 February 2007 Author Posted 23 February 2007 i think if we are going for promotion he would be a more than capable replacement for our favoured two centre midfielders whoever they may be.
sambucapleasechief Posted 23 February 2007 Posted 23 February 2007 It's good he's staying, but if we are serious about a promotion challenge next season we'll need a better centre mid than jarret. Thats spot on hope the rumours about it becoming permanent our wrong else all i can see is another season of very average football to come
Stuliasz Posted 23 February 2007 Posted 23 February 2007 Its another body in the middle, we need as many as we can get seeing how injury prone we are there. I've only seen him play once and he didn't impress me greatly but by general opinion from people on here who have been to the last few away games, it will probably turn out to be a good decision.
Maybes Posted 23 February 2007 Posted 23 February 2007 Good news. He seems to have fitted in nicely into the midfield along side AJ
JoeyB Posted 23 February 2007 Posted 23 February 2007 Good news. He seems to have fitted in nicely into the midfield along side AJ was going to say that, thinks AJ has had a midfielder prepared to do all the running he can sit back and do all the important bits, like breaking down opposition attacks and starting ours.
davieG Posted 23 February 2007 Posted 23 February 2007 was going to say that, thinks AJ has had a midfielder prepared to do all the running he can sit back and do all the important bits, like breaking down opposition attacks and starting ours. When's AJ going to start doing it then?
filbertway Posted 23 February 2007 Posted 23 February 2007 Good news, he impressed me against cov. One of the best CM's ive seen play for us this season, for getting up and down and winning the ball. Which is what we need.
Wils Posted 23 February 2007 Posted 23 February 2007 Great news,i think hes been part of the reason in our change of form weve needed a player like him in our midfeild all season.
lookwhaticando Posted 23 February 2007 Posted 23 February 2007 I reckon we'll extend Jarrett soon enough. Just a hunch. *cough* Mystic Me strikes again.
Dr The Singh Posted 23 February 2007 Posted 23 February 2007 *cough* Mystic Me strikes again. what are the winning lottery numbers for this weeekend, Mystic Me???
lookwhaticando Posted 23 February 2007 Posted 23 February 2007 what are the winning lottery numbers for this weeekend, Mystic Me??? 6, 10, 22, 29, 38, 42... Bonus 33
Lineker's Left Foot Posted 23 February 2007 Posted 23 February 2007 When's AJ going to start doing it then? More respect for AJ now. He has started to prove me wrong, after I was one of his harshest critics!!
Sods Posted 23 February 2007 Posted 23 February 2007 good news a quite like the partnership between him and andy johnson at the moment. But i dont think this pairing is good enough for us next season
davieG Posted 23 February 2007 Posted 23 February 2007 good news a quite like the partnership between him and andy johnson at the moment. But i dont think this pairing is good enough for us next season Nor was it by a mile against an out of form Burnley, as for Jarrett I'll hang to my thoughts about the longer term until I've seen him produce a 90 minute performance coincidently something AJ has patently failed to do yet.
Simi Posted 23 February 2007 Posted 23 February 2007 I'm pleased that he's extended his loan. Johnson seems to be a lot better alongside Jarret. But I agree for next year we need a more complete centre midfielder.

AyewJoking Posted 23 February 2007 Posted 23 February 2007 Johnson and Jarret in tandem is the stuff of Rob Kelly wet dreams.
Geo V Posted 23 February 2007 Posted 23 February 2007 think this is a good decision, hes another body and isn't useless, he puts more effort in than gareth williams I am more please by the fact that PNE didnt send him to us to get fit for there promotion/play-off assault. He obviously cant figure in there plans to let him go at such a vital time so thats great news for us. If he impresses, we have a chance to sign him IMO and thats the type of loanee that we should get in, someone who may have a future with us!
AyewJoking Posted 23 February 2007 Posted 23 February 2007 What kind of future are you hoping for? Jarret is poor (its early days) but he certainly doesnt look good enough for where we want to go.
fosseman Posted 23 February 2007 Posted 23 February 2007 Despite the little run of success, which ends against WBA, I think City are just marking time until the end of the season. They had to avoid relegation and the squad can manage that but there won't be much to get excited about until a major rebuild job in the summer.
Geo V Posted 23 February 2007 Posted 23 February 2007 What kind of future are you hoping for? Jarret is poor (its early days) but he certainly doesnt look good enough for where we want to go. Jason Jarrett is one of those footballers who was highly regarded and then got injured and his career went backwards. He isnt an over the hill 35 year old but someone who still has life in his legs. If he gets the form back that he displayed at Wigan he will be a good squad player for us next season. He can still improve.
