But why slide into the player ? Surely he could of just slid in the direction he thought the player was going to try and cross, and if lucky its a corner at worst. :dunno:
rubbish, no need to fly in their at all.

I bet you've never made the wrong decision whilst playing.

To me, he got the timing wrong, and it got got what it deserved. Unfortunately. The fact is though, he put in a similar challenge in the second half, and put it out for a corner. Swings and roundabout.

However, now that Low has gone, and MDV isn't around, it's Maybury's turn. The penalty aside, he had a decent game, made more difficult by the fact he was exposed because Hughes couldn't hold his own position.

They said they're going to be telling us some transfer gossip found on the internet..

Including something about a player found behind a BMW in Leicester..

Earlier in the week, somebody said they saw DJ Campbell in a BMW in Leicester..

Well the presenter did say something about the rumour was from something BlueFox, could have been JonBlueFox :P

Gutted!! Missed the Championship when we were the feature game!

How did it portray us? Lucky, commanding or well matched?! From being at the game and reading a few reports, we were the better side on the day and possibly could have won it though we were under a lot of pressure in the last 5. But the Championship has a habit of loving the top sides.

The thing is, he let Horse stay on, don't think he even got booked either, and he could of let play carry on at the end.

Swings and roundabouts. He did us a favour in my view, although i suppose West Brom fans can say the same, i wasn't at the game so i respect your views.

Poor ref yes, but it did benefit both sides.

Perhaps he didn't see it! He can't give it on the say so of their manager.

Why should he let play carry on at the end? When the time is up it's up who ever has got the ball, besides he blew his whistle before the guy headed it down to their forward.

He was, through out the game very poor though.

Horsfield should have been sent off and as far as I'm concerned, I tend to agree on what Mowbray said at the end. Harsh to blow the final whistle just as they were breaking through.

What was harsh about it? The game was over FFS!

It was already a minute over. If they'd scored off that he'd've been slated for letting it go on that long and he knew it.

he wouldnt of been clean through, kizzy stoped as soon as he heard the whistle, so mowbary can eff off, his team got out played, but he cant admit it.

Maybury did have a decent game, but he didnt need to even slide in, he just got caught out in the 1st place and dived in like a twat to try and make ammends.

ridiculous tackle from maybury. what was he thinking.

...and if he'd just spent a split second to look up he'd have noticed that no WBA player was in the box, only Kisnorbo and McCauly. It was an utterly senseless and amateurish tackle, all he needed to do was try to get goal side of Kamara and close him down.

That said, he did generally have a good game and it was encouraging to see him getting forward.

Maybury showed a lot of character to recover because around the time of the penalty there was a brief spell where he was getting a skinning and our defensive right side looked really vulnerable.

Not only did he make amends but he seemed to make lots of effort to support attacks, so much so that it was he rather than Hughes who was available for the outlet ball from central midfield.

What all the reasons are I don't know but Maybury seems focused again and seems close to the sort of form which labelled him an upwards of £0.5 million full back early last season.

Stearman I fear is going to find it hard to get his place back and I hope it's a lesson to him because his largely indifferent form this season all began when he let his mind wander right at the start.

And because he's never seemed fully focused or on top of his job since.

I was on TV in the crowd :D

Did Jarrett play well ?, as from the highlights that were just shown he looked shite. :dunno:

No, he played rubbish just like he has played rubbish every game he's had for us this season (well the home ones which is the only place I've seen him "live")

I've seen the final whistle blown just as a corner has been taken before now. If the time's up, it's up.

We don't usually agree on much, but I think we share the same views on this. Spot on.

and much though I respect your right to state your opinion my friend, your comment is rubbish. JJ is getting better every game he plays for us. For the first time in three years I feel as if we have a centre midfield. Footballing genius he isn't, but we're competing.

You are probably right but I always thought referees were told to continue when, like yesterday when Kamara was played in, until the ball is cleared. I don't know to be honest.

Maybe (which I suspect is the case) they make it up as they go along. :dunno:

:nono:

It is up to the referee when they blow the whistle, and as far as I am aware, there is no law compelling them to allow the attack to finish. If a referee decides to be strict and blow the whistle as soon as the allotted time has passed, then that's up to them. Some referees are more laid-back and allow attacks to come to an end before blowing. But that's all down to the individual.

On the final whistle incident, firstly, it was said on the championship that an extra minute had already been played to what was stated. Secondly, Jarrett was tracking back Kamara and he stopped as soon as the whistle went so it seemed he was in a better position then he actually was.
