Little Nicky Posted 22 January 2005 Posted 22 January 2005 Taylor 7 - Solid performance, his kicking is hit ad miss, but his shot stopping is generally very good. Maybury 7 - Good distribution and running down the right flank, supported Gillespie well Stewart 5 - A poor game by Jordan's recent high standards, everything he touched turned to poo! Dabizas 7 - A few good tackles at the back, looked pretty solid today against a woeful Gillingham side! Heath 7 - Fairly inactive at the back, good header for the second goal to put the game beyond the Gills. Gillespie 7 - Looked good on the right, good all in for the second, I'd have Keith taking the set pieces anyday over MR can't kick a ball Stewart! Tiatto 7.5 - Very lively performance, and hallelujah nop booking Gudjonsson 6 - I was dissapointed that he didn't get forward more today, he didn't seem to know which way the team were attacking at times also which almost led to trouble Nalis 7 - I was dissapointed not to see Williams out there but Nalis loked a reformed character again today, and nearly bagged us a third, good display. Connolly 9 - Outstanding performance, this guy is growing in confidence in every game he plays, he looked once again the best thing we've got to offer! Scowcroft 5 - No pace, no movement; rubbish, anyone interested in taking this ugly tw*t off our hands? Subs: De Vries 6 - Didn't do alot when he came on, would like to see him get a game over Slowcroft though! Dublin 5 - Wrong position for the guy, he's a centre back nowadays IMO!
Samu Posted 22 January 2005 Posted 22 January 2005 Taylor 5-Very little to do but again some very dodgy kicking Maybury 6.5-Steady performance. A couple of promising runs and crosses, much better than Makin Heath 7-The aspects I like of Heath's game is that he's good in the air and he's a goalscoring defender much like Elliott a few years ago. Still dodgy passing but looked steady enough. Dabizas 6.5-I thought he put in a good performance today. One great interception midway through the second half and dealt with the little threat Gillingham posed. Stewart 6-Not his best game but I still think he's a quality player. Great on the ball today but his corners were appaling. Defensively sound. Gillespie 6-Wasn't quite sure about him today. Set up both the goals but lost the ball in dangerous situations a couple of times. Still lively on the ball though. Joey 5.5-A tidy performance but at times he went back when he should be trying to get forward. Nalis 6-Quiet game for Lilian I think. Did what was needed of him though. Tiatto 6.5-Worked hard and didn't get booked. Could have scored but chose not to shoot. Good to have him in the team. Connolly 8-Great display. Typical strikers goal and really should have had a second. His touch was exquisite and at times looked a class apart. Scowcroft 5-Didn't win enough in the air but a few neat touches. Just can't see him scoring really. Subs De Vries 7-Looked quality. One or two great touches and nearly played a lovely through ball to Connolly after good skill. Would like to see him start. Dublin 6-Not enough time
Benji Posted 22 January 2005 Posted 22 January 2005 Taylor 6 - nothing to do Maybury 7 - did well Stewart 6 - good first half poor second Dabizas 6 - not much to do Heath 6 - awful few passes but made up through quality in the air Gillespie 8 - MOTM easy Tiatto 6 - quite dissappointing, needs match or two Gudjonsson 6 - gave ball away too easy Nalis 6 - solid, sound performance Connolly 7 Scowcroft 5 - it fails me to see why he gets a standing ovation when he goes off, terrible Subs: De Vries 6 - decent Dublin 6 - no time to look really, game finished, quality volley at end though
Mark Posted 22 January 2005 Posted 22 January 2005 Scowcroft 5 - it fails me to see why he gets a standing ovation when he goes off, terrible 57678 I thought it was more relief? I wasn't clapping him i was just treasuring the moment So much better without watching him out there.
Benji Posted 22 January 2005 Posted 22 January 2005 Scowcroft 5 - it fails me to see why he gets a standing ovation when he goes off, terrible 57678 I thought it was more relief? I wasn't clapping him i was just treasuring the moment So much better without watching him out there. 57680 about 2 months or so ago i'd have argued with you cause he seemed one of the only bright sparks of our performances. But it seems while everyone has progressed through CL's arrival, james has got worse. You just can't forgive someone who's paid that much money to stand still on a pitch; thats the difference between him and the likes of trev, trev earns his money, not through skill, but dam hard graft. I was personally glad to see benji go because the reality is he wasn't good enough, but if thats the case surely slowcroft should follow suit and be shipped out; he just couldn't give a sh*t recently, not someone i'd want as a motivater in my squad!

City Fan Posted 22 January 2005 Posted 22 January 2005 Taylor 6 - Had nothing to do, he could hardly kick the ball past the half way line. Maybury 7 - Solid Performance, good crosses. Stewart 5 - Some good dribbles, passing and crossing was woeful Dabizas 7 - Played quite well, im always weary whenever he is near the ball as he is quite accident proned.... Heath 7 - Good performance, good in the air, no real faults. Gillespie 7 - Some good runs, passing wasn't too bad, gave the ball away to easily at times. Tiatto 6.5 - Wasn't his best performance, gave his all for the team, was suprised he wasnt shown a card for once.... Gudjonsson 5 - Some of his passing was shocking, didn't do anything special at all. Nalis 7 - Tackled well, solid performance. Connolly 8 - MOTM for me, could have had a hattrick on another day, worked his socks off, good stamina. Scowcroft 5 - Waste of space, first touch was always poor, I cheered when he was brought of. ------------------------------------------------------------ De Vries 6.5 - Did quite well in the time he was on, looked a strong player, wasn't fully fit though. Dublin 6 - Didn't do much, was better than Scowcroft even though he didn't play long. TEAM PERFORMANCE 7 - Should really have had a couple more goals, gave the ball away too many times, passing was average

TrickyTrev Posted 22 January 2005 Posted 22 January 2005 Taylor 6 Had absaloutely bugger all to do, only made one dodgy kick which is an improvement. Maybury 8 He looks like a good player, always wanted the ball and very tough in the tackle Dabizas 7 Dealt with what he had to with ease and managed not to concede a million fouls, which was a nice change Heath 5 Had an average game and would have got a 6 if it were not for one of the worst passes I have ever seen in the first half where eh just hooked it out for a throw. Stewart 6 I thought he was really good in the first half but then had a shite second half. I don't think the fans getting on his back after one bad corner helped. Gillespie 8 Looks so much better than before and always seems to want the ball. Not everything he tried came off, but that is what you get with creative players. Nalis 6 Some lovely passes and a great effort on goal but not influential enough. Getting better thn his recent performances though Gudjohnson 4 Absaloute shit, he may occaionally hit a good long range ffort but his passing is woeful and just not good enough for a professional midfielder. Tiatto 6 Ran about a lot but nothing much came off. I think he adds much needed energy to our team when he is not suspended Connolly 8 The best I have seen him play for Leicester. He looked a constant goal threat and I am amazed what confidence can do for a player. Scowcroft 5 The typical Scowcroft display, one or to lovely touches and flick ons but too much walking around and fouling. Not involved in the game and never looks like scoring. *********************Subs**************** De Vries 7 I think he will be a good player when he is fit, looks to have a nice touch on him and is obviously a superb athlete. Dublin 6 Too short an appearence to give anythig else.

dan_84 Posted 23 January 2005 Posted 23 January 2005 Taylor 7 Good game had very little to do. Maybury 7 Cracking signing! Lad looks class. Dabizas 7 Best game iv seen from him. Heath 6 Played well distribution still poor Stewart 7 The lad gets better and better, needs to work on his crossing though Gillespie 6.5 Though he was poor first half but ran the show 2nd half. Gudjonsen 6.5 Becomming more consistant, another busy display. Nalis 6.5 Looked a bit more like his old self today, would have still prefered williams to be honest. if his shot had of gone in it would have been the goal of the season. Tiatto 7 Normal superb display from the skipper. Connelly 7.5 Starting to look confident. I reckon he'l still score 15 this season Scowcroft 6 slightly better, his heart dont look in it. Subs De Vries 6.5 Looks awesome, if he's only 60% fit id hate to see him when he's 100%. Looks so strong and has a good touch for a big lad. Dublin 5.5 Didnt do a lot when he came on. Leveins Team selection 8 would liked to have seen Williams playing, Dawson on the bench instead of Gemmill and Stearman instead of Makin.

Cobbo Posted 23 January 2005 Posted 23 January 2005 Firstly I will say that Dan and Teeno are being a bit silly with their judgements of Stewart, he did some crap things today, but his overall play no where near deserved a 2, please don't be persuaded by the shower of shite that people in L1 give him when he makes one error. Taylor - 6 Maybury - 7 Dabizas - 8 Heath - 7 - Still some bad passes though Stewart - 5 Gillespie - 7 Gudjonsson - 6 Nalis - 7 Tiatto - 7 Scowcroft - 5 Connolly - 7.5 Subs: de Vries - 7 Dublin - 6
