He left so effing what, he was given an option in his contract and he activated it. Good luck to him. Yes we did save his career but he paid his dues in the goals he scored for us. We stuck by him through La Manga and rightly so, but what we don't know is the turmoil his family would have continued to face long after we and the media stopped talking about it. If my partner and kids were faced with that kind of continual scrutiny then I would look to move them out of the area as well. They are my life. Also given the option of Souness or Adams/Bassett/Cork what would you choose? That is his day job and like any of us if we were given the chance to work in a better market with a highly respected boss compared to the lesser market we faced, despite the good 'office' and with the poor management, what would you prefer?

Who ate all the pies? Posted 25 January 2005 Posted 25 January 2005 I still love him, if it wasn't for him we'd have never got promoted or put up any kind of fight in the prem...his goals helped end of story. Shit he left us, but then again lots of players have at least he did something for us!
