Fez of Mahrez Posted 28 March 2007 Posted 28 March 2007 I don't know whether this is too ambitious but it'd be nice to do it as a charity match, ask to play it at the Walkers and raise some money for Janxlet Jr's trust fund.

Yeah sounds a good idea to do it as a charity game. Might as well raise a bit of cash while we're at it. We need a venue though (possibly astroturfs at Hermitage, Whitwick?).
lildave3 Posted 28 March 2007 Posted 28 March 2007 Donate some to them, and some to rainbows bagsey the under21's get the home team dressing room tho I do believe said dressing room has already been 'bagsied' by the old timers.
Joe. Posted 28 March 2007 Posted 28 March 2007 I somehow doubt very much the Walkers will be available for our use....

That's a smashing idea. Janx' mate/brother who have been known to post/been mentioned on here should be invited to play if they wish to do so. In terms of the infrastructure etc of donating, if we wish to do something official and get companies involved, I don't mind using my Trust as then we can get more donated/gift aided etc. Just a thought and I won't be insulted if we don't go down this avenue. I rather suspect we will want to keep it a bit more personal and low key...

The People's Hero Posted 28 March 2007 Posted 28 March 2007 I think a few people are getting a bit carried away and taking this all a bit to seriously? Spot on. That's youthful exuberance for you though mate. I think if we can all have some fun and raise some money perhaps for a good cause, then that'll be good.
Thracian Posted 28 March 2007 Posted 28 March 2007 Yeah sounds a good idea to do it as a charity game. Might as well raise a bit of cash while we're at it. We need a venue though (possibly astroturfs at Hermitage, Whitwick?). Cracking idea if we can pull it off. The Walkers, Belvoir Drive or Hinckley United come to mind but surely the city venues would be most popular although I might still have half a chance with Hinckley.
Thracian Posted 28 March 2007 Posted 28 March 2007 Standupandsing's well in with Peter Jones. Or it might be bright to approach MM himself.
Daggers Posted 28 March 2007 Posted 28 March 2007 Standupandsing's well in with Peter Jones. So, he got Jaime evicted from the stadium in order to take control of N-block?
Manwell Pablo Posted 28 March 2007 Author Posted 28 March 2007 Looks like the U21's have got a quorum, no problem. We're gonna need a date, a time, a pitch, some kit, balls, a ref, linesmen, some idea of how many subs to be used, a wacky trophy of some sort. Can you not read man, June the 9th 3pm date and time sorted. Don't see the balls being a problem and as I said max sqaud size is 18 all 7 subs can be used. The rest obviously needs sorting. I will need help with the venue. EDIT: alot of help judgeing by what some of you lot are suggesting
Manwell Pablo Posted 28 March 2007 Author Posted 28 March 2007 Can I just say also, if your over 21 one and can use your left foot please let yourself be known, because as much as I can use mine I really don't want to have to
Fez of Mahrez Posted 28 March 2007 Posted 28 March 2007 Any spaces left for a 22 yr old?!?? You're up front with Finnegan.
Manwell Pablo Posted 28 March 2007 Author Posted 28 March 2007 Any spaces left for a 22 yr old?!?? We've plenty of spaces left! get Cat Burger and Shum and Cobbo while your at it!!
The People's Hero Posted 28 March 2007 Posted 28 March 2007 By the sounds of it - you're our new left back/left winger.

cisono Posted 28 March 2007 Posted 28 March 2007 Saturday 9th June 3 o'clock. Over 21's vs Under 21's. 45 minutes each way. Dagenam Dave to referre, Ultra to be his assistant just to level it out. Thracian to manage the under 21's. Winner gets the Louis Dodds cup. Whos up for it. I would play... I am a bit rubbish to be honest but (although I am naturally a defender), I scored a goal today (playing 5-a-side), so you never know...

You think I'm going to be responsible for giving 11 teenage boys an excuse to slide in on you. No chance.
Thracian Posted 28 March 2007 Posted 28 March 2007 I'm needing to know some positions for our lot - it sounds like we've got the Busy B's in Benji and Bertfox up front and a potential Peter Crouch man in Wet-Trump but let's here where else everyone plays....
