holly Posted 7 April 2007 Posted 7 April 2007 Was in the pub yest before the game with my mum, dad and my friend who is a derby fan. big fat man stares @ my friend, i went to the bar and he was there and was moaning there was a derby fan in the pub i was like aint doing u any harm mate so shut up, and he was like if ur gunna stick up for him why dont u go support them, i was like if i wanted to support them i would of from day one, i aint one to jump ship and walked off. then he came and stood @ a table near us and proceeded to carry on moaning i told him to shut up and he told me i wasnt a proper leicester fan coz i was friends with a derby fan. his reason for hating derby was coz when they went to the baseball ground he passed the ball to a derby player and the player threw the ball back in his face. Fookin idiot he was and he really annoyed me. Apparently now being friends with a fan from a rival team doesnt make u a real fan.

Unfortunatley in football, you often find fans with the brains and common sense of a carrot, you have found one of these people.

Jay Posted 7 April 2007 Posted 7 April 2007 seems obvious to me why the derby player threw a ball in his face, he probably makes most people want to do something like that to him!!
Brainy Posted 7 April 2007 Posted 7 April 2007 Not a real Leicester fan if you have a Derby friend? vice-versa
Finnegan Posted 7 April 2007 Posted 7 April 2007 I know a Forest, Derby AND Cov fan. Fortunately for me, they're all tossers.
lookwhaticando Posted 7 April 2007 Posted 7 April 2007 All my friends in primary school - when I decided to support a football team, and chose Leicester - were Derby fans. One of them happens to be my best mate. You could accuse me of not being a true Leicester fan because I never go to any games... I could accept that... but to claim I'm not a true fan because my best friend supports Derby... that's just silly bollocks. Some people... thick as pigshit and twice as dull.
Filbert_Ross Posted 7 April 2007 Posted 7 April 2007 its not like your best mate rapes grannies. loads of my mates support shit teams,it makes for good banter down the pub.
lookwhaticando Posted 7 April 2007 Posted 7 April 2007 its not like your best mate rapes grannies.loads of my mates support shit teams,it makes for good banter down the pub. Especially if the teams they support are shittier than ours at present... helps deflect some of the abuse you get.
Filbert_Ross Posted 7 April 2007 Posted 7 April 2007 Especially if the teams they support are shittier than ours at present... helps deflect some of the abuse you get. yeah my mates a Lincoln fan he gets some stick.
C-man Posted 7 April 2007 Posted 7 April 2007 I work in Cov, and 3 of my good workmates support the Scum. All of us have a good laugh, so i suppose I'm not a real Leicester fan either.
Maybes Posted 7 April 2007 Posted 7 April 2007 My boss is a forest fan so i refuse to talk to him What about your family are you supposed to dis-own them if they support another team. All my family are villa and reading fans
lookwhaticando Posted 7 April 2007 Posted 7 April 2007 yeah my mates a Lincoln fan he gets some stick. I quite like Lincoln... after all, they got McAuley ready for us.
Wils Posted 7 April 2007 Posted 7 April 2007 Holly ive always thought you were a bit sheepish. Oh dear.

Well i went to the Hog's Head before kick off (May of been yourself) and i seen a derby fan drinking with a female Leicester fan. I thought it was odd but the songs we sing at the games directed at them is enough abuse for me. My grandpa was a derby fan and i took him to the fusion for a meal with the whole family on his 90th birthday.lmao! He's gone now unfortunately but it was a great result on saturday and im so glad Fryatts back.
lookwhaticando Posted 7 April 2007 Posted 7 April 2007 Holly ive always thought you were a bit sheepish. That has implications for the people who might like to kop with holly.

Koke Posted 8 April 2007 Posted 8 April 2007 My family are divided into three - Villa, Leicester and Forest fans. What would football be if you didnt have family member and friends who support other teams? Its always nice to have a good banter when together.
the_bowman Posted 8 April 2007 Posted 8 April 2007 Not a real Leicester fan if you have a Derby friend? vice-versa My gf's a derby fan... just makes for a good argument from time to time, and, as everyone says, a good bit of banter I don't hate other teams... just really like to beat them
Suffolk_fox Posted 8 April 2007 Posted 8 April 2007 My best mate and also Best Man is a die hard Derby fan. I bet the guy in question has no foreign friends, because that would mean he isn't a 'Real' Englishman, nor any Muslim, Hindu, Buddhist or Jewish friends, because that, afterall would mean he was no longer a 'real' Christian. (I am of course assuming he is English, white and Christian.) Conversely, the fact that many of his friends may be nobs, pricks or c*nts does not stop him being a 'real' arsehole....

Racist with overtones of religious bigotry.
Rincewind Posted 9 April 2007 Posted 9 April 2007 Believe it or not there are many other reasons why you may be friends with some-one other than the football team they support.
