Daggers Posted 7 April 2007 Posted 7 April 2007 Maccarinelli - absolutely frightening. It's the first time I've seen him and I can not get over what an absolute machine he is. Phenomenal. Likewise, Khans speed is verging on blistering. A shame that neither of them had a decent opposition in the ring.

Mind you Manfredo wasn't throwing any punches. Can't believe I've only seen 6 rounds of boxing all evening.

Geo V Posted 17 April 2007 Posted 17 April 2007 I must admit to being a fan of The Contender series, especially as most fights were only about 4 rounds and all the fighters seemed to be going hell for leather from the get go knowing that its not a 12 round fight . This new UK vrs USA idea seemed lame but it was a good start to the series. That English dude had the wierdest boxing style ever . Still, one nil to the Engerland, one nil, to the Engerland

Joe Calzaghe has been a victim of bad management. His best days are behind him now and although he is still a quality fighter, he should have been mixing it with far more better quality fighters from across the pond. I feel sorry for the lad because he`ll end up getting knocked over by someone because he is past his best.
