syston_fox Posted 9 April 2007 Posted 9 April 2007 19. Leicester 47pts (-12) 20. Hull 44pts (-16) 21. Barnsley 44pts (-28) 22. Leeds 42 pts (-24) 23. Southend 42 pts (-25) 24. Luton 37 pts (-23) Luton down 5 points clear (may as well be 6 with the goal difference) of Leeds and Southend...... that game with Barnsley is gonna be crucial!
The People's Hero Posted 9 April 2007 Posted 9 April 2007 Agree about Luton. They REALLY needed to win that game vs QPR today.
holly Posted 9 April 2007 Posted 9 April 2007 Agree about Luton. They REALLY needed to win that game vs QPR today. have a feeling were gunna go down there ya no.
SussexFox Posted 9 April 2007 Posted 9 April 2007 Have to agree with you Holly with our run in its not looking good at all, Norwich looks must win can't see us getting anything from, Birmingham, Preston or Wolves and Barnsley will be scrapping for their lives and on todays evidence look more up for the fight than us.
dandannieldanok Posted 9 April 2007 Posted 9 April 2007 I think we can just scrape over the line, the run-in is difficult but the potential for points is there. Anything could happen on Saturday and over the next month or two, firstly Norwich are so inconsistent. After that we have Brum, on paper very difficult but their season is going tits-up and of course we have Barnsley away to come too. I just can't fathom to the final outcome except that Luton are probably down.
Jonbluefox9 Posted 9 April 2007 Posted 9 April 2007 Have to agree with you Holly with our run in its not looking good at all, Norwich looks must win can't see us getting anything from, Birmingham, Preston or Wolves and Barnsley will be scrapping for their lives and on todays evidence look more up for the fight than us. If Barnsley, who got thumped 5-1 by Ipswich at the weekend, can beat Birmingham then I'm confident that we can roll Brum over too. We're just as likely to pick up maximum points from games against Wolves, Preston and Birmingham as we are against Norwich and Barnsley. That's the nature of this division. On current form it doesn't look like we'll pick many more points up at all but we've shown how inconsistent we are this season and we have the ability to throw up a shock result just as much as anyone else in this division.
Thracian Posted 9 April 2007 Posted 9 April 2007 Our major problem is that our internal morale is almost certainly low or relatively so and we have done nothing to improve our team like the other clubs in our predicament. These are major handicaps to take into a fight for your survival and, unfortunately, I don't believe morale would necessarily lift with a new manager because the problem in relation to the players would remain cos they wouldn't be "his" players. The vast majority know they have no future here. It is an unusual situation for any potential new manager because he will have to trundle through with what he's got and if the mood is wrong that won't be easy. There is also the problem we faced last season of whether manager's would want to join and take on the risks of the present situation. It is a seriously poisoned challice. But for all Kelly seems to be finding it so hard to get the best out of his team that we desperatelyneed action to change that.
Daggers Posted 9 April 2007 Posted 9 April 2007 Our major problem is that our internal morale is almost certainly low They should go paintballing, or a nice afternoon out 10-pin bowling, that'd pick their peckers up

Has anyone realised that birmingham are playing shite so they will need a win when they play us badly. Preston are playing shite so likewise. Norwich! we never beat norwich. Barnsley away is massive and wolves look decent this year. Last two games i reckon unfortunately. Might have a lot going to Barnsley though.

Sods Posted 9 April 2007 Posted 9 April 2007 Why didn't you put Wolves in bold? Do you know something we don't? Are we going to beat them to stay up? I want answers. nope i forgot. But wolves don't deserve to be in bold. It just aint right to put wolves in bold
Fez of Mahrez Posted 9 April 2007 Posted 9 April 2007 nope i forgot. But wolves don't deserve to be in bold. It just aint right to put wolves in bold Good answer. I might start supporting Northampton instead. They're decent to watch at the moment, young squad, show a bit of hunger and most importantly of all, they're a smashing bunch of lads.

Need to win against norwich, if so thats it done, staying up! Then sort out the mess at the club
Fez of Mahrez Posted 9 April 2007 Posted 9 April 2007 But do they work their socks off in training? I dunno. But at least they're not ****s.
Wils Posted 9 April 2007 Posted 9 April 2007 I dunno. But at least they're not ****s. Thats my reason for following Colchester next season.
SussexFox Posted 9 April 2007 Posted 9 April 2007 Need to win against norwich, if so thats it done, staying up! Then sort out the mess at the club quite a few people seem to think we're gonna win this one not really that confident, they seem to be good going forward and against our defence...
Mort Posted 9 April 2007 Posted 9 April 2007 Beating Norwich would be odd for us, their a mid-table side that safe now... just the kind of team (like Plymouth!) we'd fall apart in from of, the only advantage i can think of for us in that match is that we're at home... and thats hardly helped us very much this season!!!... personally I'd have thought the Brum and Wolves games were better bets for points than Norwich... but overall we simply HAVE to beat Barnsley!
Sods Posted 10 April 2007 Posted 10 April 2007 Good answer.I might start supporting Northampton instead. They're decent to watch at the moment, young squad, show a bit of hunger and most importantly of all, they're a smashing bunch of lads. whhhhhhhhhhat. I don't think so fez, just think of all the banter you will have soon when will be regulary be playing northampton. On a plus the games in league 1 are a lot closer to my house.
MC Prussian Posted 10 April 2007 Posted 10 April 2007 I can already tell how the team's going to approach the last five games: Norwich H: Just like Plymouth - safe in mid-table-land. Of course we have redoubled our efforts on the training ground, know how deep in the shit we are and lose 3-0. Birmingham H: On a bad run and even Barnsley and Burnley can win against them. We can't because our club's name doesn't start with a B and because we're Leicester so 2-1 to the Brum. Preston A: They're completely out of form and even QPR can beat them. We can't because we're Leicester. A 2-0 loss. Barnsley A: One might think we could beat them just like we did at home and because they're Barnsley. It won't happen because... well, you get the idea... 1-1 draw maybe. Wolverhampton H: I fancy another thrilling game with us being 3-0 up at HT, then totally losing it. No need to give any further details. With these five scores, we'll probably go down. Unless some of the others teams below us fook it up even more badly.
Suffolk_fox Posted 10 April 2007 Posted 10 April 2007 I believe that we will stay up, but that is more to do with the fact that the teams in the relegation zone are very very poor, and would need a minor miracle to string enough wins together. Our run in is scary, and it will be no credit to RK or the team if we do stay up. I think the honeymoon is definitely over......
Geo V Posted 10 April 2007 Posted 10 April 2007 We seem to do better against the better sides so I wouldnt panic. Luton have as good as gone and there is plenty of cack around them for us to avoid the drop. Anyway, watching the Premiership years on Sky and Guppy just curled one in for a 2-2 draw at Chelski. Its a sign of how good we will be again
Milky Posted 10 April 2007 Posted 10 April 2007 Leeds play Burnley at home Southend play Barnsley Saturday really is crunch time, if leeds and southend win, and we loose actually, a leeds and barnsley win would be worse
syston_fox Posted 10 April 2007 Author Posted 10 April 2007 Ive just done that BBC league predictor thing where you enter all the remaining results in..... 1) Sunderland 2) Derby 3) Birmingham 4) West Brom 5) Wolves 6) Stoke ........ 19) Southend (52pts) 20) Leicester (50pts) 21) Hull (49pts) _____________________ 22) Leeds (48pts) 23) Barnsley (46pts) 24) Luton (37pts)
