Even that might not be enough, given that our net run rate is so poor.

All credit to T and T who were excellent today and deserved their win.

But for various reasons we didn't prepare for this game as we needed to.

It's something for the EWCB to think about in future years, maybe bringing forward the end of the season to allow sides to acclimatise.

Leicestershire sign Martin Van Jaarsveld on two year deal with an option of a third. A good signing imo got the quality we need in the middle order shame he is 37 though.

Just read the article on the website and it seems that we won't be having an a main overseas next year. I guess most/all of the budget was spent on MVJ.

Van Jaarsveld is a very good signing the experience we need.

Razzaq has also signed for another season with us Twenty20 wise, think we are still missing a key bowler though for County and 40 over games.

West Indies will visit Lord's, Trent Bridge and Edgbaston for Tests, with ODIs at the Rose Bowl, The Oval and Headingley, and a Twenty20 international at Trent Bridge.

The Caribbean side will also take on Sussex, the England Lions, Leicestershire and Middlesex.

Meanwhile, after playing Leicestershire, Ireland and Essex, Australia's five ODIs are at Lord's, The Oval, Edgbaston, Chester-le-Street and Old Trafford.

Playing Australia + Windies next year.

Suspect taylor won't be at number 3 for us. Was very non commital in an interview with daggers.

Smith, boyce, jefferson, mvj. That'll do if taylor goes.

If Taylor does leave no doubt we will be compensated for it. Not happy with Warwickshire's recruitment policy though, I read yesterday they approached Gary Keedy halfway through the year and offered him a significant pay rise, needs to be clamped down on imo.

Didnt hear that, a shame, can understand it though. Some of the Championship batting performances this season were a disgrace.
