Phube Posted 29 April 2007 Posted 29 April 2007 I thought it must have been done by now and it was: Alan Lee from Wikipedia: On the 29th of April 2007, Lee wrote himself into footballing history by scoring the 88th minute goal which saw Leeds United relegated from the Coca Cola Championship, dumping them out of the elite group of teams who have never been relegated from the top two flights of English football.
Brainy Posted 29 April 2007 Posted 29 April 2007 Doesn't he realise the R in the table won't appear next to Leeds until next weekend?
Milky Posted 29 April 2007 Posted 29 April 2007 However, FA chiefs said it "was highly unlikely" a points deduction at the start of next season could be enforced shame

Fez of Mahrez Posted 29 April 2007 Posted 29 April 2007    This is my next project. Wolves next Sunday, I can see it getting going in N Block. I swear I heard a quick blast of my Johansson song at about half 2 from you boys as well!

lcfc_jme Posted 29 April 2007 Posted 29 April 2007 True. It did get going a few times. Little caught on though. Your Dennis Wise song was class too. Your Dennis Wise song was started by me in N Block at a home game Fez, but it didn't catch on too well because there are some idiots who will only stick to what they know and not even attempt to join in with new songs.

I know. I was at the Leeds game and it was pretty good for a new song! We'll have to whip up a few for the Premiership-class signings we make in the summer. Ideally we'll sign an Egyptian international called Ahmed Hassan EI-EI-EIO.
Guest Gist Posted 29 April 2007 Posted 29 April 2007 I'm so pleased to see them go down! Leeds swapping leagues with S****horpe, who'd have thought it? Not that I'm complaining!
Daggers Posted 29 April 2007 Author Posted 29 April 2007 FA to probe Leeds pitch invasion The Football Association will launch an investigation into the pitch invasion by Leeds fans that marred Saturday's 1-1 draw with Ipswich at Elland Road. Several hundred fans spilled on to the pitch and forced a 30-minute delay after a late Ipswich equaliser all but sealed Leeds' relegation to League One. However, FA chiefs said it "was highly unlikely" a points deduction at the start of next season could be enforced. Leeds are three points adrift of safety, with one match to play. And, with their goal difference far worse than Hull's, only a miracle on the last day of the season will keep the Yorkshire club in the Championship. FA spokesman Mark Hooper said: "In the first instance it's a criminal offence to encroach on the pitch and we will be liaising with the police on that matter. "We will be making various enquiries. We will wait to see the reports from our crowd observers and the referee's match report and will also be seeking observations from the club as to what happened. "It's too early to say what action the FA would find appropriate but it would be very unusual for that to be a points deduction. "It's more likely any individual found guilty of an offence will be banned and we would make sure the club is taking the right steps to ensure it doesn't happen again."
Hullfox Posted 29 April 2007 Posted 29 April 2007 Whats the connection between The Championship and a cordless drill? No Leeds
