Rather that, than bring in experienced prem players looking for a final pay cheque as we have seen with Howard and Oakley et al.

McFadden came from some shit Scottish team, would you not have taken a chance on him? Some players it's evident are going to do well, others it's a gamble. I'd be amazed if McDonald doesn't end up at a Premiership club in the summer anyway.
