lookwhaticando Posted 13 May 2007 Posted 13 May 2007 Don't dis the work experience. Over here, you have to do 40 hours of community service. It's a requirement. Without those 40 hours, you don't graduate from high school.

Stevosevic Posted 14 May 2007 Posted 14 May 2007 My dad works for BHS, regional manager currently for East Anglia. Moved around a few times when he was younger and has made a fair bit. Although going there on work experience will be terrible, doing all the crap jobs nobody else wants to do.

Trumpet Posted 14 May 2007 Posted 14 May 2007 Mine was as a clerical assistant in braunstone, i managed a day.. went home and started my 2 week extended summer holiday, then an extra 2 weeks at the end as i went Cyprus on the day everybody went back. Cracking. Oh and no-one at school said anything about me sciving so do it kids!
Leicfox Posted 14 May 2007 Posted 14 May 2007 I was at Belvior Drive with Football in the Community. I did that at Blackpool, over 14yrs ago. Was alot of fun. My best mate, also came to Bloomfield Road and did Groundsmaning if thats the word, he's now head groundman at The Emirates Stadium.
Unit Posted 14 May 2007 Posted 14 May 2007 I did mine at the Braunstone gym, it was a week long and the day went as follows: Clean equipment for 10 minutes, 'test' all gym equipment for the rest of the day. My best mate was doing it at there at the same time too so it was a wicked week off.

Matt Posted 14 May 2007 Posted 14 May 2007 Loved my work experience, Worked for a builder I know, was fitting a kitchen, and one of the days was when England were playing in the world cup, plus I didn't have to go school and was doing something I wanted to do! But what a surprise the year I did it they changed it to 1 week instead on 2 weeks (The year before I did Work experience it was 2 weeks the year after I did it it was 2 weeks ) Work Experience was the best thing I did at school.
