Geo V Posted 3 August 2007 Posted 3 August 2007 You`ve got to hand it to the randy old Swede. I had reservations about him mainly due to the quality he would be able to attract to Man City but he has signed some quality players already, some who must be good because they always become world beaters on FM07 . Bojinov. Elano, Corluka, Geovanni and Garrido have already signed and they are constantly linked to good players like Chiellini and Gudjohnson. Sven has done superbly in bringing in these players and someone like Stuart Pearce wouldn't have been able to bring in half of these in, in a million years. If he carries on at this rate they`ll be in amongst those chasing a European place. Im looking forward to seeing Bojinov and especially the Brazilian Elano in the Premiership this season thats for sure, it should make good viewing! BTW, I wonder if the hang-on celebrity Manc fans like the Gallacher brothers are still moaning at the appointment?? http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,11679_2637328,00.html http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,11679_2637153,00.html
AyewJoking Posted 3 August 2007 Posted 3 August 2007 Sven is a big name who can attract quality foreign players. I think he will do well at Man City then leave for Chelsea when Abramovic loses patience with Jose.
Daggers Posted 3 August 2007 Posted 3 August 2007 Man city top 10 finish this season! im sticking my neck out - Top 7 !!! I'll go for hovering around the relegation slot come December with a rash of panic buying in the New Year...plus the rather predicatable prison sentence for the outright dodgy owner plunging the club into crisis. Again.

Again. Thats a far more realistic expectation for Man City. Optimism is something that just shouldn't be associated with that club. I think Sven will do alright but it will take them a while to get going as so many new players become adjusted to the prem. I'm suprised he hasn't signed anyone today. He's definately on a mission at the minute.
Webbo Posted 3 August 2007 Posted 3 August 2007 Anybody who hates ManU as much as they do can't be all bad. 6th or 7th methinks.
Joe. Posted 3 August 2007 Posted 3 August 2007 12th I'm going for. They have a lot of work to do on their squad still.
TheBlinding Posted 3 August 2007 Posted 3 August 2007 Isaksson Richards---Dunne---Croatian Guy---Garrido Giovanni---Fernandes---Elano---Petrov Bianchi---Bojinov Looks a strong team on paper + more players to come but with 8 foreign players, you'd imagine at least half of them will flop. I'd imagine they'd finish somewhere between 8th-12th with the other teams that have had big investment. West Ham, Villa, Pompey etc.
