The Stig Posted 22 June 2007 Posted 22 June 2007 AS GOOD AS GOLD ON SOCCER AM Friday 22nd June 2007 Soccer AM 9am, Saturdays - Sky Sports 1 Andy Goldstein will be the new co-presenter of Soccer AM alongside Helen Chamberlain. Goldstein, who presents the Soccer AM All Sports Show with Chamberlain on Friday night's on Sky Sports, will now join forces with Helen again in the 9am Saturday morning slot. Earlier in June Tim Lovejoy announced that he would be standing down from the show after 11 years at its front man. Goldstein, who also presents the hit All Sports Podcast, is elated to be taking over from Lovejoy with his good friend Chamberlain. He said: "I feel like I have got the best job in the world. I can't wait to get started." Andy, and you, will only have to wait until 9am on Saturday August 11 for the return of Soccer AM Taken from the Sky Sports Website. So what do we all think? I think he'll be good, Helen likes him, good chemistry betwwen them on The All Sports Show, and he's quite a funny bloke. Would have prefered one of Colin Murray or Mark "Chappers" Chapman but never mind.
Stevosevic Posted 22 June 2007 Posted 22 June 2007 Dont like him personally, Lovejoy made it an okay show to watch, it will be unbearable now with Helen Chamberlain and him.
SystonFox Posted 22 June 2007 Posted 22 June 2007 it'll be crap. and that goes for whoever was chosen. as good as Chappers or Colin Murray would have been they do not have the comical brain or wit that Lovejoy has and Lovejoy co-wrote the show so alot of the jokes will go out the window. expect it to fail within 2 years.
Katy Posted 22 June 2007 Posted 22 June 2007 Soccer AM bored the hell out of me anyway. Same old same old every week, so glad to have had freeview for the past few years so I can avoid the shite.
Milky Posted 22 June 2007 Posted 22 June 2007 he's allright. As long as the likes of fenners and sheephead stay it should still be good.
samingram_uk Posted 22 June 2007 Posted 22 June 2007 do fenners and sheephead help on the all sports show too? i dont mean do comedy skectes but their real jobs?
Simi Posted 22 June 2007 Posted 22 June 2007 Never be the same again. True. I think almost everyone expected this decsion.
Matt Posted 22 June 2007 Posted 22 June 2007 I said he'd take over as soon as I heard Lovejoy had gone, It'll be rubbish with him, he's boring, unfunny, and a rubbish presenter!
Joe. Posted 22 June 2007 Posted 22 June 2007 Ah he's not that bad. Not Lovejoy by any means but who would have been? I think he'll do alright personally...
Flexx Posted 22 June 2007 Posted 22 June 2007 It was starting to get too predictable anyway, I would rather have a lie in than watch it now personally
Nationwider Posted 22 June 2007 Posted 22 June 2007 Not Garth Crooks and Claire Balding???? Shocking.

city1993 Posted 23 June 2007 Posted 23 June 2007 Won't bother watching it now, Lovejoy made it what it was, these berks will ruin the show.
