Brainy Posted 17 October 2007 Posted 17 October 2007 Well lets hope its wet. NO on the F1 site, if you put your arrow over the first box (of 4) near the top (highlights on chinese GP) theres a good picture of hamilton's tyre, or whats left of it.

isaidno Posted 18 October 2007 Posted 18 October 2007 Here's one for you, what if Massa wins Alonso is 2nd Hamilton is 5th Raikkonen retires Hamilton 111 points 4 wins Alonso 111 Points 4 wins
Raj Posted 18 October 2007 Posted 18 October 2007 Here's one for you, what if Massa wins Alonso is 2nd Hamilton is 5th Raikkonen retires Hamilton 111 points 4 wins Alonso 111 Points 4 wins SCRAP TO THE DEATH! WINNER TAKE ALL!! sorry...Caps lock on!
Geo V Posted 18 October 2007 Posted 18 October 2007 Lets hope Nigel Mansell wins this weekend. He`ll go much faster if he shaved his tash though.
Milky Posted 18 October 2007 Posted 18 October 2007 Here's one for you, what if Massa wins Alonso is 2nd Hamilton is 5th Raikkonen retires Hamilton 111 points 4 wins Alonso 111 Points 4 wins Surely that's wrong. Hamilton is only 2 points ahead, and you get 8 points for 2nd and 4 points for 5th!
Brainy Posted 18 October 2007 Posted 18 October 2007 He's 4 pts ahead. Surely the title would go to Hamilton as he's been top for longest? I suggest they each do 1 lap, on equal fuel, everything.. whoever goes fastest wins.
RowlattsFox Posted 18 October 2007 Posted 18 October 2007 If they are level on points then i guess it will go down to how many races they have won. Possibly..
Brainy Posted 18 October 2007 Posted 18 October 2007 Thats where the confusement comes in. They've both won four.
Brainy Posted 18 October 2007 Posted 18 October 2007 This might clear things up: Hamilton will be champion if: He wins or finishes second He finishes ahead of both his rivals He finishes no lower than second if Alonso wins He finishes no lower than fifth if Alonso is second He finishes no lower than fifth if Raikkonen wins He finishes no lower than seventh if Alonso is third and/or Raikkonen is second He finishes no lower than eighth if Alonso is fourth If Alonso if fifth or lower and Raikkonen finishes third or lower. For Alonso to win, the Spaniard must: Win with Hamilton third or lower Finish second with Hamilton sixth or lower Finish third with Hamilton eighth or lower, and Raikkonen failing to win Finish fourth with Hamilton lower than eighth, and Raikkonen lower than second For Raikkonen to be champion, the Finn must: Win with Hamilton sixth or lower and Alonso lower than second Finish second with Hamilton below seventh and Alonso lower than third. So far this year: Hamilton has four wins, five second places, three thirds, a fourth and a fifth. Alonso has four wins, four second places, three thirds, a fourth, a fifth and two sevenths. And Raikkonen has five wins, two second places, four thirds, a fourth, a fifth and an eighth.
Asha Posted 18 October 2007 Posted 18 October 2007 This might clear things up:<<<info>>> Come race day, will be checking that because i can see it changing a lot, but thanks all the same
Geo V Posted 18 October 2007 Posted 18 October 2007 Thats where the confusement comes in.They've both won four. I think they then go on podiums dont they? Just get a top two berth Lewis and shut that twat Alonso up for good.
Brainy Posted 18 October 2007 Posted 18 October 2007 If Alonso wins then Hamilton must come second But then again, most finishes this year have either seen a Ferrari 1-2 or McLaren 1-2 second half of the season definately, apparently this track is meant to favour McLaren? 1-2 finishes.. Monaco, USA, Turkey, Monza, Spa, Ok, thats actually much less than I thought.
Floating Fox Posted 18 October 2007 Posted 18 October 2007 Can see Alonso ramming a few in that first corner, what a beauty of a corner that is!
Raj Posted 19 October 2007 Posted 19 October 2007 I liked Alonso. But this season he has proved to be abit of a spoilt prat. Expecting his No2 to sit back and help HIM win races. Hamilton has been a breath of fresh air and it'd be great for F1 and Britain to have w World Champ again!!! Go Lewis
Wycombe Fox Posted 19 October 2007 Posted 19 October 2007 Second practice session live on TVU player at 5.00pm our time. It's usually quite interesting to hear the American commentary.
isaidno Posted 19 October 2007 Posted 19 October 2007 Kimi Raikkonen led a Ferrari one-two in the damp opening practice session at Interlagos, with Lewis Hamilton taking fifth and Fernando Alonso choosing not to participate.Drizzle fell throughout the session, occasionally increasing to a heavier rain shower and ensuring that a dry line never appeared. The title contenders sat out most of the morning, allowing Kazuki Nakajima, Jarno Trulli, Sebastian Vettel, Rubens Barrichello, Ralf Schumacher and Nico Rosberg to all take turns on top as the weather fluctuated. The Ferraris eventually emerged in the final 15 minutes and swiftly moved into first and second. Felipe Massa was the faster of the pair initially, before Raikkonen moved ahead by half a second with his last lap. Hamilton made two comparatively tentative runs near the end of the morning, eventually taking fifth position. But his McLaren teammate Alonso decided to limit himself to an installation lap, as did the BMW pair and Giancarlo Fisichella. Heikki Kovalainen ultimately took third for Renault, 1.2 seconds off the pace and just ahead of Rosberg and Hamilton. Schumacher was sixth despite a quick spin late on, with Vettel moving back up to seventh near the end having been pushed back into the midfield as others improved. Mark Webber, Trulli and Vitantonio Liuzzi completed the top ten. Despite the treacherous conditions, there were few incidents. Along with Schumacher's spin, Sakon Yamamoto also had a quick trip off the road, while Adrian Sutil explored the run-off at the Senna S on two consecutive laps during one of the harder showers. Asha Posted 19 October 2007 Posted 19 October 2007 Can't wait till Sunday, it's geared up to be one of the best races in years. Exciting for once, so many different outcomes.
Floating Fox Posted 19 October 2007 Posted 19 October 2007 Did anyone see the DTM finale? Again, 3 cars in the last race to take the tittle Brilliant, how motorsport should be, when the brit, Jamie Green, came accross to win the race (Unfortunatly not the championship) fireworks & the lot went off, it looked amazing, then on the way back to the pits, ALL the drivers were doing Doughnuts (sp) was superb. They also blew loads of confetti up into the air when the champion was crowned. Great, highlights have been on Setanta & Motors TV all week.
Milky Posted 19 October 2007 Posted 19 October 2007 Hamilton is surely up shit creek now. He's just broken tyre rules in practice. What are we talking about here? Grid position penalty?
Asha Posted 19 October 2007 Posted 19 October 2007 Hamilton is surely up shit creek now. He's just broken tyre rules in practice. What are we talking about here? Grid position penalty? Well they can't take points away surely not. Grid position penalty would be most likely.
Milky Posted 19 October 2007 Posted 19 October 2007 http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/motorsport...one/7053377.stm He's used two sets of wet tyres when you can only use one set. How can they be so stupid!
Brainy Posted 19 October 2007 Posted 19 October 2007 Nothing will happen. Mainly because it's Hamilton. Not that it bothers me.
