lookwhaticando Posted 25 June 2007 Posted 25 June 2007 Some good friends of ours, living on the street next to us (we were practically neighbours, despite living on different streets) were JW's... they knew our views on religion (complete disinterest) and in the two and a half years we lived there, no JW ever came to our house encouraging us to open our minds to the world of religion. The moral of the story is: if you don't want to be bugged by JW's, move next door to one. ;)

How ironic and hypocritical is that? . they are not a religion, they are not Christians, they are a CULT. they have predicted the end of the world a few times and were clearly wrong about that!! they have changed the bible and altered verses to suit their veiws. ( my boss is a JW)

I was civil and said I was busy. My house mate wanted to tell em to feck orf though....cant blame him! Do these people not learn, I can't imagine they have very good successful rates....?? About 20 years ago me and a couple of flatmates invited some JW's in and stuck a porno on straight away they soon fooked off and for some reason never came back!

The ones we were neighbours with, they were very nice people who had always been JW's. The real weirdo in our area was the Mormon kid across the road from us. Everything about him was odd.

Because the Greek translation of the New Testament came to different conclusions as their perverted interpretations, they found themselves up the creek without paddles on the major issues of mainstream Christianity. So what did they do? They wrote their own Bible....called The New Translation.
