Flexx Posted 26 June 2007 Posted 26 June 2007 They've been up for at least a few weeks now, will we ever get rid of these jokers? I can see Hughes getting sold but the rest I can't see anyone buying.
Thracian Posted 26 June 2007 Posted 26 June 2007 They won't be in any rush considering what they're on here and what they're likely to get elsewhere.
Shrew Posted 26 June 2007 Posted 26 June 2007 pretty sure i heard Rab Douglas is off 2 scotland somewhere(possibly Airdrie??) if he can sort out a compensation with LCFC.

The People's Hero Posted 26 June 2007 Posted 26 June 2007 I've lost count of the times I've heard he's going back to Scotland. Perhaps someone should send him a map. Yeah, there is no chance he knows where Scotland is.
He's not bald Posted 26 June 2007 Posted 26 June 2007 I've lost count of the times I've heard he's going back to Scotland. Perhaps someone should send him a map. Really needs to be e-mailed then cuz if you pass it to him he'll flap and miss it completely!

The Stig Posted 26 June 2007 Posted 26 June 2007 I might bid a tenner for one of them, I've allways fancied a butler.
Flynny Posted 26 June 2007 Posted 26 June 2007 Rab seems to want the money off the last year of his Leicester contract even though he's moving. Its a bit disgusting, really.
Daggers Posted 26 June 2007 Posted 26 June 2007 I might bid a tenner for one of them, I've allways fancied a butler. I wouldn't trust them to not get lost in a 2up2down
Flynny Posted 26 June 2007 Posted 26 June 2007 I wouldn't trust them to not get lost in a 2up2down I'm sure city players could handle 2 down. ... ... I'll get my coat.
Jay Posted 26 June 2007 Posted 26 June 2007 Rab seems to want the money off the last year of his Leicester contract even though he's moving. Its a bit disgusting, really. why is it disgusting? I am sure anyone on here in the same situation would do the same I know I would!! and if they say otherwise they are most probably lying or don't have a family to look after themselves just because he is a footballer doesn't make him any different to other people!! it's a job at the end of the day while as fans we may see it slightly different in reality Rab owes us nothing and why should he move and give up £8000 a week to sign for someone paying him £1500 If someone owed me £400 000 I wouldn't give it up would you? and don't say you would because it's clearly not true!!
lookwhaticando Posted 26 June 2007 Posted 26 June 2007 I find it somewhat odd that Alan Sheehan isn't on the list, yet, when you consider the others that are - many of whom also have contracts that only last for another year. Douglas, Kenton, De Vries, Maybury and Sheehan all have contracts until next summer and the former four have been listed while Sheehan hasn't. Sheehan has also done less for the club over the past season than three of the four... Douglas, meanwhile was of some use... he fetched balls for the first choice keepers. Perhaps it's a little too early to tell, but perhaps Alan Sheehan isn't being written off completely just yet. Perhaps he'll be looked at in pre-season by the new management team. Perhaps Sheehan and Mattock will be our left-backs this season. It'd certainly save us some money/effort if we don't have to look for another left-back or two... after all, Mattock will be absent for a spell when he's out in Texas early in the season. Hmmm?

Ah! When you put it like that... Its all about principal really Although it doesn't say much about his ambition if hes happy to collect his wages for doing absolutely nothing
Daggers Posted 26 June 2007 Posted 26 June 2007 Ah! When you put it like that...Its all about principal really Although it doesn't say much about his ambition if hes happy to collect his wages for doing absolutely nothing Mate - in a loving manner - sort your f'cking sig out for f'cks sake!
davieG Posted 26 June 2007 Posted 26 June 2007 Ah! When you put it like that...Its all about principal really Although it doesn't say much about his ambition if hes happy to collect his wages for doing absolutely nothing I think any ambitions he had as a player have already been achieved, well at least he's not likely to improve on what he has achieved. At his age all he'll be looking for is to maximise his earnings, what do ex goalkeepers do, there's only so many coaching roles around.
Mr Happy Posted 26 June 2007 Posted 26 June 2007 Mate - in a loving manner - sort your f'cking sig out for f'cks sake! Not meaning to sound sarcastic, but was that because the sig was too big? ...or because I was reffering to them as 'magnificent'?
lookwhaticando Posted 26 June 2007 Posted 26 June 2007 Not meaning to sound sarcastic, but was that because the sig was too big?...or because I was reffering to them as 'magnificent'? Big. Way way too big.

Good point, well made. Incidentally, does someone owe you £400,000? I'll collect it for you if you like, for a small fee
Jonbluefox9 Posted 29 June 2007 Posted 29 June 2007 Douglas was offered a coaching role with us on less than half of what he earns at present but he turned it down apparently. I don't blame him. Levein's fault for being stupid enough to give him a 3 year deal on such big wages.

Levi Porter referred to Sheehan needing to take time out to recover from a series of niggling injuries. There would also seem to be a dearth of left-backs, particularly attacking left-backs so Leicester might be reluctant to shed any they've got. At his best there is no doubt in my mind that Sheehan is a good attacking left-back, indeed the best Leicester have had in recent years, which admittedly doesn't say a lot. But for whatever reasons we've not seen much of his best since our home win over Sheffield Wednesday in Levein days and the days before that when he skippered the reserves. Martin Allen's no-nonsense approach may be just what's needed to get Sheehan's fitness, form and enthusiasm back. Otherwise the lad's in danger of being another underperformer like Ryan Smith.

Who Derby have just transfer to Millwall.
Stevosevic Posted 30 June 2007 Posted 30 June 2007 Just wondering, when the players return for training on monday, will the transfer listed players be training with the rest of the squad as they are effectively not in the squad for next season? Or will they be off on their own? This isn't a situation i have seen before - 5/6 players listed before pre-season.
