Whatever new players we buy from now on, they will have to have numbers of 26+

Plums, surely?

And I wish they'd update the player profile section...it makes life really difficult for those of us hanging around with expectant Photoshop packages

No Andy King, Billy McKay or Ashley Chambers.

But it makes better reading than last year's list - in fact last year was like reading the programme for a funeral...which it so nearly was.

TBH i think they will have 1 along with the transfer listed players, but they have just decided to post the selected ones, for the people they may feel will be involved most, excluding Elvis. :dunno:

Sounds to me like those 3 have got a lot more work to do to get in the first team plans, but luckily we have a reserve league this year, likewise Gradel. Although it's good to see he's got a number already.

I'd have liked to have seen what Gradel could have done against a decentish side like Kilmarnock, my guess is he'd show up well.

This comes back to my point about King not being able to impress very easily in short spells due to lack of pace.
I'd have thought the likes of Gradel and King would have been given much more of a run-out this pre-season, but it doesn't appear as if they've impressed Allen as of yet. Mind you, we do have a big squad at present so it's hard to play everyone.
Elvis' squad number also equates to the amount of yards ran during 90 minutes.
I thought it was the amount of Playstation 3's he's rinsed since the end of last season.

I'm going to go with... number of blatantly onside goals harshly ruled out by ignorant linesmen last season after a great first touch and the strength of an ox to beat the defender while Fryatt slaughtered 12 new-born babies in the centre-circle.
